i'm finally back after my korea trip! still puffy from my surgery, but happy that i can eat most foods again! i've been looking forward to cooking now that i'm back hehe
decided to do a casual q&a to debrief from my trip as well as share some of the things i bought while there. what i showed was only some of the stuff i bought, but you'll definitely see the rest in upcoming vlogs. i didn't want this vid to be an hour of me showing my lack of restraint like let's have a little decency...

I just got a referral for orthognathic surgery and I was definitely put off by the way it was described as getting my jaw broken. If you feel comfy I’d love to hear more about your surgery experience and recovery. I already have puffy cheeks so IDK how I’d deal with months of swelling 😖 Wishing you an extra speedy recovery ❤

When you said "they broke my jaw and put it back together" my heart let out a little squeal and sunk all the way to the soles of my feet XD It's good to see you recovering fast, hopefully the rest of the swelling goes away quickly. im glad to hear you're healing well!! ive had surgeries in the same area in the past and the swelling is fr the worst. a little tip I came across was bananas can be a lifesaver along with anything high in potassium bc potassium helps regulate fluid retention, hope that can help! looking forward to seeing more of your journeys in the future!!

Ok for all parts of the plant that are dead-cut it. No point in waiting because it prolly won't recover. Then put a chop stick in the soil and secure the plant to in. (If the stem is still green and alive) Use the 2,3,4.. rice water to water your plants!! Also you look good, I know it sucks after surgery with self confiedence. But you are cute!

For your plant problem; I think it's better to cut off your dead leaves, turn them around so the leaves grow to the other side, and also try to give it little water around every 2 days that's it I think :) just treat it nicely :))

For the plant, since that one/two parts is already dead/wilted just cut it out. Ik its hard to do that 😭but there's no point in keeping the dead parts, its an eye sore + you'll allow for healthier and alive parts to grow in its place

The schefflera plant that’s limping over could actually be overwatered and you’d just have to repot it and let the roots dry out a little 🌱

I love your videos! For your plant I recommend adding water again and letting it soak up sun light. And if your plant still doesn’t stand up I would take like a stick and put it in the soil in a position that the plant can stay standing up!! Home this helps 😊

Have you tried sleeping with your head elevated to help with the swelling? Prop your head and shoulders up with a bunch of pillows as if you’re in a hospital bed. It really helped me when I had wisdom tooth surgery, I had almost no swelling. Of course your surgery was way more intense, so it might not do a lot, but maybe it could help with the initial reduction at least a little!

17:37 for the umbrella plant (Schefflera) they can go a while w/o water or at least that's how mine are. The leaves look like it was overwatered so try to only water it when the leaves aren't as perky or the leaves are easy to bend!!❤️❤️

I wasn't able to fully tell but it looks like your plant was either overwatered or underwatered! Have a look at the roots. Are they white and healthy? Or brown and soggy? It may be a good idea to repot the plant! Luckily, half the plant is still healthy, likely because their roots got the correct amount of water. Make sure to only water when the soil is dry and the actual pot feels very light! Good luck ! ☺🌿

It's funny how you go snack shopping and you end up going to Japanese homegoods store to do it lol. And no idea if they closed them, but there's a couple Muji stores in California. And usually with those bowl/cup noodles, you're supposed to do everything in the container (not put it on the stove, but pour the water in it) and eat out of them too. Don't be embarrassed by how much you bought, that's what a lot trips turn into because other countries have things you can't get back at home.

A little late on this one, but it might be due to insufficient nutrients in the soil or the roots grew too much and dont have enough space. I am pretty sure its the nutrients though. You can get soil tests from farming stores. And definitely double check online for a few of these things: - Amount of water the plant needs. Not all plants need the same amount of water. - Amount of sun needed, it may be too much or too little sunlight. - Is it an indoor or outdoor plant? Some indoor plants may not be able to thrive indoors due to the size of the pot or the difference in oxygen compared to outdoor oxygen. and - The ratio of certain soil nutrients. Sometimes certain plants may need more phosphorus, than nitrogen or potassium. Or other nutrients need to be higher than the others! I really hope you see this and this helps your lil plant babies!!! ❤

If it helps, the last time we (hubby and 2 small kids) went to Hong Kong, we were there for 7 weeks…we were allowed 50kg of luggage each and somehow we still managed to go over by 8kg which cost me $320 - not to mention the additional 8 hand luggage we had 😅 Personally I think we did pretty well 😂
