Korea E-Sports is decades ahead of any other. Starcraft 1 was televised and had casters when people thought it was the stupidest thing in the world and before Dota on Warcraft 3 even existed. Praise Korea for knowing whats up and being ahead of the curve with E-Sports and E-casting xD

I love Korea so much, just because from what I’ve seen all of their stuff is this high quality, from their music to even their Esports commentators XD Paul from Geography Now said it best when he said that whenever Korea learns about something, they study it, obsess over it, master it, and blow everybody else doing the thing in question out of the water, something along those lines XD

This compared to NA commentators... There is really no competition. These guys win.
@MacTuts4Dummies9 жыл бұрын
With NA and EU casters, they're always very analytic and help you learn about the ways of the game, however, KR casters are very hypey and makes the crowd excited about the game. They don't teach anything, though.
@LirkeyyLoL9 жыл бұрын
HomingSword I get the fact that people watch LCS just to learn new mechanics from the pros. But there are many other websites and videos, which tell you steps on how to get better and stuff. But Korean casters make the game exciting than NA casters. Trust me.
@MacTuts4Dummies9 жыл бұрын
I understand what you're saying and believe me, I think Koreans cast great as well but, I personally like how NA and EU casts itself. It's unique and informative while keeping the hype controlled. However, that's just me, though. :)
@MintyDarkFinger9 жыл бұрын
Lirkeyy I personally like the guys who do the English cast for LCK. Because they talk about the most random bullshit when the game gets slow and there's no fighting.

The NA casters made a few jabs during the LCS Legend of the Poro King games against the Korean casters "shouting ability names and player names" and _that's it_, but I can't help but comment that this is way more entertaining than "narrating" an entire fight. Korean casters (Doa and MonteCristo included) are the caster master-race. ALL HAIL KOREA.
@th3on3andonlylov3r9 жыл бұрын
Their jabs were only in good heart. They're all friends with eachother.
@DarkCyberElf9 жыл бұрын
th3on3andonlylov3r Nah, I'm pretty sure Jatt, Phreak, Riv, and Kobe don't talk to CloudTemplar or any of his co-casters. Their jabs were ironic, in that they are actually not very good at casting themselves by comparison.
@DarkCyberElf8 жыл бұрын
DrewsFire Which is precisely why I prefer to watch the Korean casters, whether it's the English-stream casters Monte/DoA or the actual Koreans, simply because of how much braindead pandering there is in the LCS casts. To be fair, notably Jatt, Kobe, and even Phreak have really stepped up their game in the last couple years, and Deficio + Krepo as former pros have unique insight into the game. Everyone else is trash though, without exception.
@jinchun70218 жыл бұрын
+DrewsFire "Depends, they're less entertaining but they provide more insight into the fight and what's going on" That's the most common misconception western people have regarding the difference between Korean and western casters. Because Korean casters' entertaining aspect is highlighted so much in the western community, people tend to regard western casters as higher in terms of the insight and so-called "serious" aspect of casting. However, even in this area, I'm sorry but Koreans are better. All this hyped up casting that's introduced through videos are only segments of the game where major macro-level team-fighting/decisions are made. Hence, the fast-paces casting and shouting. But if you've ever watched a full vod of Korean casters thru ogn, you'd be amazed at how much useful insight/predictions/criticism Korean casters make during the P/B phase and rather less exciting laning phases. This is reflected by the different roles of casters in the Korean team, with Hype-master Jeon Yongjun and the analysts CT and Kim Dongjun all involved in every single ogn game. In fact, the Korean public have been very critical about casters capable of providing such insights that Kang Min, a former analyst caster who was involved alongside them before, was pressured to step down due to his relatively less knowledgeable casting compared to the other two. The West has stepped up their game recently with the addition of the likes of Krepo, but for now at least, Korean casters are still better in that regard. I'm still looking forward to how the Western casting team improves tho. Fyi, I'm a Korean-Canadian who's been following the professional league scene through both OGN (as in the actual Korean casting team) and LCS.

Remember bois, the noisiest Korean caster you’re listening to right now is the one who’ve really took the mainframe of esports and carried it to really becoming an e-‘sports’(not the video games i’m talking about here, i’m focusing on the esports category specifically). Counter strike? League of Legends? Nah, they’ve been playing around esports since the 90s with Starcraft when everyone thought it was like a fking joke. Koreans don’t mess around with esports here bois, and they know how to take it to the next level.
