This video shows some of the dogs rescued from the Korean dog-meat trade who are now looking for very special, very patient homes.
Most of these dogs are Jindos, a breed that is typically known for being smart and independent. These particular dogs are extremely shy and fearful, experiencing little to no human contact until only recently. While they look cute and snuggly, most do not allow petting, cannot walk on a leash, and have never been in a home. They will need continued positive reinforcement and, most importantly, unwavering patience.
A quiet, consistent and patient home that will allow them to acclimate at their own pace is vital to their success. Being in a home with another calm, social dog is strongly recommended to ease their stress. A free "shy dog" training class will be provided to all adopters.
