Yeah the convenience store in Korea, Japan and Taiwan are literally on a whole new level. So many choices that they offer for the customer. We, Malaysian preferably eating foods from mamak, stalls, night market, restaurant or simply cook on our own because it's much cheaper, fresh and convenient for me at least. Seeing you guys trying this makes me feel happy. Keep up the good work Blimey! Blimers love you xD

(Lo Mai Gai) in Cantonese Language (糯米雞), is a classic dim sum dish served during yum cha. It's a glutinous rice filled with pork, chicken, mushroom and chinese sausage. Most of the Chinese food is non-halal and if you buy the "HALAL" Chinese food the taste is so different from the original one.

When I was there, almost everyday I'm buying Tuna Kimbap and Banana Uyu.. HAHA.. Anyway, most of Malaysians buy Nasi Lemak as breakfast, normally on the roadside stall or restaurant or warung.. Nasi Lemak in convenience store are quite expensive and not that fresh.. If you guys are still in Malaysia, you guys should try buy the Nasi Lemak at the roadside stall..

Hey @Blimey I got something to ask. May I know about the level of the 'spicyness' in the korean food by using the samyang spicy ramen as an indicator. Is that normal to you guys? I'm Malaysian, I love spicy food but that ramen is above of my spicy level.
@Blimeywow6 жыл бұрын
It could be too spicy for some Koreans, but some also enjoy it! But it’s definitely not the spiciest thing in Korea lol

If Samyang Ramen is not the spiciest, I gave up. My level of spiciness just at a level of Malaysia Sambal.

For me, Korean spicy level & Malaysian spicy level cant be compared bcause we're more to 'spice' spicy and korean more to 'chili' spicy. Korean spiciness can be felt at the lips & malaysian spiciness felt throughout the throat to our stomach..i think laa

I think mostly only tourists will buy those Fresh-to-go or frozen nasi lemak in 7-Eleven. I don’t speak for every Malaysian but we usually have much better nasi lemak to buy with more selections of dishes to add nearby. Especially in the morning it’s easy to find and freshly cooked. For me, 7-Eleven is only to buy chips and drinks, for the convenience, that’s all. Love you Dasol and Jade!

Malaysian usually does not eat convenience store's food as often as korean. In korean drama, a lot of students and workers will buy food from convenience store and just casually sit and eat there. But in Malaysia, we just go to conveniece store like 7 eleven to buy newspaper (for men usually) and some breads, junk foods, juices or ice cream for students' snack. And the store like Family Mart is actually considered as 'fancy' by some of us (at least me ㅠㅠ), because it sells other countries' foods, and the taste is not disappointing.

Thank you for the video again. I knew the frozen nasi lemak brand. It is from Thailand and ventured the business into Malaysia. The fried noodle (bihun goreng) is also delicious. Whereas, I can get a great nasi lemak and piping sambal sauce at the roadside stall. Loh mai kai is derived from the Cantonese dialect, which is loh mai means glutinous rice and kai means chicken. Chicken glutinous rice is the trnaslation. Usually the chicken will be marinated in five spices powder and oyster sauce with stir fry later and add in mushroom later. For the glutinous rice, can stir fry with dark soy sauce, soy sauce for flavour. Then all put together in the small like aluminium bowl and steam it. It can be found at the dim sum place. (Ah, you made me crave some dim sum and also loh mai kai now!)

There are many dim sum stores all over Kuala Lumpur, dedicated dim sum stores sell very good lo mai kai! Other than that, most chinese food stores also sell lo mai kai. If you see a box steamer in front of the store, you can be sure to find lo mai kai inside! PS: I love the content you guys make, keep it up!

You guys should do mukbang or something, where you teaches us how korean usually eat just like this video. I find it fascinating that korean korean mix kimbap with ramyun or eat it by using lid. I think it'll be really interesting to watch
