Every year you have hate crimes against minorities and yes there is a section in the Indian Penal Code that deals with discrimination against SC/ST and you can find cases in this category, more often in certain parts of the country. Like so many parts in Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and UP. And these states make up a huge chunk of the total population of India

A teacher from Maharashtra's Dhule district filed an RTI in 2020 to the government to confirm whether hockey was officially the national sport of India or not. To this, the Ministry of Youth Affairs replies that the country officially does not have any sport listed as a national sport because the government's objective is to encourage/promote all popular sports disciplines.
