As a brown person who loves Korean makeup, yes the skin tone difference can be so big at times😭 like everyone is always saying “don’t use this it makes you look dark” “use this to make your skin lighter/whiter” etc and I’m like… too late I’m already brown. I'm brazilian and here we have some kinds of makeup look, the clown, which is not called the clown but I will call that, MOUNTAINS of foundation, strong lipstick, very strong contourn, very arched and filled eyebrows, fake lashes and dark eyeshadow in the sides of the eye and very shiny eyeshadow in the inside, this one is the most popular one and very used by people over 30 or girls in their 15th birthday the alternative look, self explainatory, can be goth or egirl-like but the most used is just red lipstick and black, very long eyeliner and the teenager, very inspired by kpop looks and sometimes tik tok makeup, not a lot of foundation, a lot of blush, eyeliner, the point of the nose is shiny, the lips use the korean technique of only painting the inside part of the lips and shiny eyeshadow, the eyebrows usually are inspired by korean makeup as well I used to use a mix of the alternative makeup and the korean makeup, but now after the quarantine I don't wear it at all, and when I wear it's just shiny eyeshadow with graphic liners or artistic makeup, but here korean makeup is very popular between people at the age of 12-25
