In the UK (at least the country in the UK I'm from) one pieces are very popular, I'm not sure about the price but we tend to commit to one swimsuit for a few years until you start to out grow or its aging. So maybe try (if they do overseas deliveries) Matalan, M&S or something. I'm sure global brands like Nike and Adidas have lots of them as well, but since they're big brands they might be pricey. Just trying to give a bit more perspective!

My family has a house near the beach in the south of france. Young kids will go topless. Pre-teens go one piece suit Teens and adults wear bikinis or one piece suit. The elderly go topless. They're old so they don't give a damn lol. There is even a naturist beach nearby (everyone is nude) and most of the members are elderly.

I love Korea's swimsuits. Where I live in Italy it is nearly impossible to find less revealing swim wear. I tend to be the black sheep on the beach wearing ankle length leggings, sport skirt, sport bra, rash guard zip-up hoodie and water shoes. And with plenty of sunblock I make sure not to burn.

I didn’t expect the swimsuits to be covering that much. Don’t they get itchy while wearing that? If I wore something like that people would judge me for dressing up as a grandma or label me as an extremist muslim. But I have to say if the Korean options don’t make you itchy I’d prefer theirs. Rimu N my kids so do you think surfers, who are probably in the water more than most, get itchy every time they surf in their wetsuits? My 2 kids are redhead & fair skin and when we are going to be on the beach all day they wear long sleeve SPF swim tops and knee length swim shorts (to minimise the amount of exposure to the sun so that they don’t need to worry about sunburn or having to reapply suncream everywhere constantly... They’ve never had a sand problem (the swim clothing sit tight to the skin so that also minimises how much sand gets places) and the tops aren’t hot because the fabric is usually made from a material that breathes.

Monokini means the same thing in the west generally - a one piece. That's how they're labeled in stores now. As an American this is the first I've ever heard of someone thinking it means only bottoms.

I'm disappointed, I was waiting to see some other styles of 'western' swimsuits. These were very one-note, not at all representing the wide variations of styles that average women wear. Balconette-style bikini tops are also popular, as are flouncy voluminous styles like the ones shown in the first half of the video, not to mention different bikini bottom silhouettes other than high-cut thong/cheeky. We've seen lots of really beautiful and interesting one-piece swimsuits popping up over the last few years, too. Suits with cutouts, lots of straps, fun prints... I was surprised not to see that in the video.

10 months late, but i agree. i tend to notice with these type of videos (korea vs the west) they show quite a variety of different korean styles but when it gets to the west, they just show 1 sided photos and videos. like if your gonna compare the two at least put in effort to both. also not even to mention that these comparisons aren’t even fair because South Korea is 1 country while the west is America, Canada, Australia, and all of the countries in Europe, etc. you can’t categorize all of those into one. that’s too much. It’s interesting to see cultural differences and compare them, but not when poor research is put into them. That’s why I usually don’t like these videos lol.
