@@kev792 It's pretty good, all about boxing and nothing else. It's a pretty pure anime in a way. There's only one thing that's the constant focus and if you enjoy boxing, you'll enjoy the show since it makes a lot of references to RL boxers. Even if you're not all that into boxing, it serves as a pretty entertaining introduction. Also, it got some sick animations down the line with some infamous jet engine sound effects for punches that have become somewhat of a meme.

Mike Tyson has a really famous and tragic story about how he got into his first fight. When he was kid he used to be bullied constantly because he was overweight. He was known for being patient and gentle. In fact around the time he was 10 he used to raise pigeons in his living room. One day a bully caught wind of this and somehow managed to steal one. Mike pleaded for him to give it back and the bully actually killed it in front of him. The next thing he knew he was standing over the bully. Mike says he doesn’t think he was sensational in the fight like some prodigy but rather he figures he only won cause he hit the bully more times and harder than the bully could hit him. He credits that fight as the first time he ever threw a punch. To this day mike Tyson loves birds and is extremely loving and gentle with them. He has his own flock and his own coop. If you google ‘mike Tyson pigeon’ I’m sure you’ll find many videos/pictures of him kissing them. RIP to his first friend tho 💕💕💕

It's funny how most people always assume that UFC is more dangerous than boxing because it's a lot bloodier and you can use your legs but it's the complete opposite. In the UFC once a fighter gets knocked down the ref stops the match. In boxing they let you get up over and over until you can't go anymore which results in way more damage to either the head, body or both. Also, getting hit with those huge gloves increases the radius of the trauma where as a smaller glove or even bare knuckles centralize it more

this is what i have always been saying. boxing is not just more dangerous bc of not hitting below belt and no subs, its most dangerous bc of the knockdown system. ppl think follow up punches in mma are bad but its worse letting a concussed fighter stumble up in 10 seconds just to get battered again
