📚Hello study buddies! 오랜만이죠~ it's been a while!💜
Several people have asked questions about KGIU! The book is gaining popularity on instagram within the language learning community, so I wanted to make this video to share my two cents about this book and show you what it looks like on the inside.
Before I buy a new book I want to see what it looks like - I'm a very nosy person when it comes to books and other people's bookshelves!
Very few websites give book previews online, let alone for textbooks!

Thanks for the video! I wonder which of the beginner or intermediate book I should buy, because I study Korean since some times, but I don't know if my level is enough for the intermediate book and maybe the beginner book is too easy. What should I know to be able to use the intermediate book?

Is it better than how to study korean dot com website? Please tell me because currently I’m studying from HTSK only and i find it nice but i wanna know if im lacking

Both are good. The KGIU series specifically teaches grammar, while HTSK also teaches general Korean like some grammar, some vocabulary. KGIU is measured approximately by the amount of grammar you would need to know to pass TOPIK. For example, beginner is approx. topik level 1-2, intermediate is about 3-4, and advanced is approx levels 5-6, though you would need more resources than just the grammar book to pass topik. It's good for solidifying essential grammar structures and showing you the differences between similar structures. You can't really go wrong with either 😊

I used Beginning a few years ago, and plan on using Advanced! 😊 Beginning was very helpful!

If I'm using TTMIK primarily, would I still find value in studying this book? And how would you suggest using both resources handinhand?

TTMIK is a great resource too! I use both, and find that TTMIK is great for brief study sessions, while KGIU goes into much detail. KGIU is more like a grammar dictionary or grammar workbook than a regular textbook. Often the structures in TTMIK are in random order, while in KGIU they are topik level equivalents and a more accurate picture of what is "intermediate". I recommend both resources 💜
