Many of you have kindly informed us that the curry we tried in the video is NOT actually Palak Paneer. Since the receipt says differently, we checked their menu pictures again. And it seems like it IS Palak Paneer that they sell, just a very not authentic version of it. The food did have some small chunks of Spinach and cheese in it. We're sorry that it was too far from what Palak Paneer actually is. As mentioned in the video, we were aware these Indian food in Seoul might not be very authentic. But we believe it is still meaningful to try different cuisines we can get here in Korea and try to understand what it is. Yes, even if it sometimes is Koreanized. We really appreciate your constructive feedback, it's what makes us learn :) Still, I had to leave this comment because there were quite a few disturbing comments (most of them filtered) with very vulgar words. We DID NOT mean to offend Indian cuisine/culture. Stop hating on me and my Grandma OK, god damn it!

Yeah, im not too educated but its especially forced on kpop women idols, they are forced to keep a cute, innocent image. I’m also from Texas!! I definitely recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and trying a local Indian restaurant. Definitely look at the reviews of each place, like others have mentioned. I find Indian food to be so delicious so I hope you love it. Tip: If you don’t like spice, make sure to ask for it with none! Otherwise, some will make it as authentic as possible, and Indian cooking is famous for spice. I recommend Saag Paneer, Chicken Biryani or Chicken Tika like what the ladies in this video enjoyed^^^

This was fun! By the way, a quick note about "tikka" -- it doesn't actually mean pieces. "Tikka" literally means "stick" (or skewer) and refers to how the chicken was cooked. In this case chicken pieces were skewered and then roasted, hence chicken tikka. Chicken tikka masala is the popular dish where the cream sauce is added to the meat. Other types of meat can also make tikka dishes, such as fish or lamb tikka. :)

It looked like Tandori chicken to me.
@akshargupta58804 жыл бұрын
@@mgmail7279 Arguably the same thing. What the western world calls "tandoori chicken" is just larger bone-in pieces of chicken (like drumsticks and thighs) that are also cooked in the same tandoori oven, giving it the red color. Chicken tikka, which was shown here, refers to boneless pieces of meat roasted on a skewer inside the oven.

Personally, I think Indian food is delicious but let's not be naive, plenty of people don't like it for many reasons. 1. A lot of people can't handle spicy food and grand majority of Indian food is spicy 2. A lot of people don't like strongly seasoned food in general and prefer the mild natural flavour and that's not that easy to find in Indian cuisine. I know many people who claim that Indians "ruin" food with spices. 3. A lot of people don't like how many Indian dishes are cooked until everything falls apart and turns into a paste and you can't tell apart individual ingredients. 4. A lot of people just never ever leave their comfort zone and diss anything that's slightly different from what they are used too (to be honest, Indians aren't the most adventurous folks when it comes to non-Indian food as well :P)

After watching this I find a pretty big dfference between Americans and koreans..Koreans are actually supportive of our cuisine and culture and they really like our food. On the other hand, Americans don't appreciate our food, well not everyone, but a few. ( i said this bcoz i have been told about how some of them, tend to be rude with people from other countries, so yea. What I am telling about is. RACISM. And that George Floyd incident, man that was malevolent.i am not directly emphasizing the indian food here, so i hope it doesnt offend any american who is reading this. I have seen and heard of Americans illtreating or making fun of outsiders, people who don't hail from the west, which is unjust. Not making this stuff up, telling about my relative's own experience, My uncle was laughed at by some racist Americans for being 'Brown'.. He wasnt even allowed to work in a restaurant. His wages were very low, well that was 1999 i think, but i am just tellying u all that racism exists everywhere, and you probably know that, but I kind of feel that it is precisely ingrained in the american culture. I dont mean to hurt someone's feelings, i am just sharing something that ACTUALLY happened. Hope u get the idea:) I am not spreading hate. Just telling. Otherwise I like Americans who actually like our cuisine, not only ours, but also the other cuisines around the world. It's absolutely okk if someone doesn't like it. I know right? It's really spicy and hot. But not all Indian foods are like that, there are many MILD food items to have. Umm I guess that's enough 😅 Anyways, let's come back to the video, just wanna say -. Aww..this grandma is too cute..Love u grandma..Anneonghaseyo Korea:)

I am a good boy .....Americans actually ❤️ Indian food and we, generally speaking, like to give all food a chance.... obviously because there are so many ethnic restaurants all over the place....it’s just not as readily available across a rather large country as, say, Mexican food or Italian (and I ain’t talking pizza!). About 40 years ago, unless you lived in Louisiana, Mississippi or along the Sabine River, you’d probably didn’t know what Cajun cuisine was like and then the “blackened redfish” craze hit the news and suddenly there were Cajun Restaurants popping up in New YorkCity and Los Angeles. Now, there are chain restaurants that boast “Cajun”. About 20 years ago, this happened with Vietnamese and Thai food..... now there’s so many Pho shops, it’s astounding. I live in Louisiana (where we eat constantly) and will drive 38 miles to a gas station of all things that makes fabulous Indian food. It’s the nearest place to me and I love Indian food and every person I take there loves it! And I lived in Bombay so I’ve had the extreme pleasure of eating “authentic” Indian cuisine, it’s delicious. You’re not “spreading hate”.... but making a broad sweeping statement like “Americans don’t appreciate our food”, is just not true..... and that others will read and possibly take to heart when in fact, like MOST people across this huge globe, PREFER a specific style but are open to anything that tastes good. And then we eat too much of it and get fatter.

It depends on where you live in America... if you live in a small suburban town, the only options you have are pizza hut and other fast food chains. @@teacat55OK so I think that ur absolutely right. BTW thx for telling me about the cuisine. I am sorry if I was being disrespectful. I should have been modest. But the reason why I mentioned 'Americans' not appreciating our food, is bcoz of many white people criticising other people on the basis of their caste, creed, skin colour etc. Like we Indians are sometimes considered as 'outsiders' which probably isn't a good thing. And the 'black lives matter' movement that has gone viral in 2020, makes me feel like..unsafe and insecure around white people. Not everyone does this, but some people are doing this constantly, considering brown and black people as 'outsiders', and are mistreated. That's all. I don't directly point out Americans in this, but many people worldwide, aren't treating us brown and black people well. Nevertheless, I appreciate people like u those who don't discriminate others:) I didn't have any bad intentions. Just telling that I see some Hollywood celebrities, who are conceited, like..sometimes I see them as a disgrace. Like Ellen Degeneres, she misbehaves with not only the Asians, but also the Americans themselves. Then we look at Simon Cowell, he seems arrogant. Otherwise I love Americans. But I don't know if I am going to like the American food lol. Bcoz u guys usually tend to have a healthy and light meal..like salad or something. But we Indians have a heavy breakfast..Like one bowl of curd, one bowl of some kind of mixed vegetable, one bowl of salad, 3-4 paranthas( Stuffed chapattis). 😂😂😂❤
