In malaysia we got 13 state and 1 federal Territory.. 9 state got rulers ... once every 5 years take turn to be malaysia king.. the federal head of state. .. king largely function as ceremonial ..but in some cases especially when there is instability in politics or emergency...the king is the solution to cool it's down he is the supreme head.of government and ...the symbols of Malaysia unity.... In march there's some uncertainty in our government. ..so the king has to step in...when there's some uncertainty or emergency. .. the king roles is important to safeguard the interest of the people. Our current king sultan Abdullah .is down to earth ruler and all malaysians love him 😄 and kelantan is my home state ....that was kelantan crown prince .and his wife is from Sweden .☺️

Foreigners will always asked ,why Malaysia have many kings and sultans (9 monarchs from 9 states) ,eventhough we are just small country. Comparing UK that has only 1 Queen(monarch) . The answer is, because ,before the unification of Malaysia in 1948 (that were called as Federation of Malaya that time), the 9 foundation states (Kedah, Selangor, Kelantan, Perak,Terengganu,Pahang,Johor,Negeri Sembilan &Perlis) was previously a separate kingdoms. All those states were separate nations before. Then in 1948, they unite as one Federation. It other words, Malaysia is actually a United Kingdoms and it is Royal Federation. And yes..the lands are belong to the kings and sultans ( Tanah Raja). The monarchs formed the Majlis Raja-Raja or in English known as the Royal Council or the Kings of the Round Table which is above Parliament and it is also a shadow Government which monitor the current ruling political party. That is why we Malaysian are not really afraid or bothered if there is a political crisis in Malaysia,because we still have an upper layer of administration, which is the Royal Council because the council are politically free and the Civil Service actually serve the Council.

Nine of the states are Malay States and all of the state has their own rulers that we called Sultan. But there are two state we called the ruler as Raja (King) which from Perlis and another one we called Yang Di-Pertuan Besar (King) from Negeri Sembilan. The non Malays ruler states are Penang, Melaka, Sabah and Sarawak and these four states have Yang Di-Pertua Negeri/Governor. They have same responsible like other ruler but they are not able to become a King of Malaysia or Yang Di-Pertuan Agong because they are appointed by Yang Di-Pertuan Agong/King of Malaysia. It different if we compared the ruler of nine Malays States because they are of their own royal lineage or their ancestor has created a state which this monarchy from generation to generation. For your information, Malaysia is the most unique monarchy in the world. We have the oldest unbroken chain of Royal Monarch in the world since 788 CBE. Older than any European monarch or Japanese. So the Malaysian King/Yang Di-Pertuan Agong is formally elected to a five year term by from nine rulers of Malays States, whom form the Conference of Rulers. All of the King/Sultan in Malaysia from nine Malay States have rotation to become Yang Di-Pertuan Agong/King of Malaysia once in five year. So our King is actually King of the Kings.

I know it's just a story but it's interesting how in the Korean drama The King: Eternal Monarch, Lee Gon's kingdom practices Constitutional Monarchy which is the same as Malaysia. 😊 Just the difference is that our country has 9 states with Malay royals. Therefore, the YDP Agong who is the Supreme Ruler will rule for a term of 5 years based on the decision of Majlis Raja-Raja (Conference of Rulers), which could be seen as a form of democracy itself. Monarchy is important because they act as the final say and peacekeeper. The king will stay out of politics, but if our political crisis gets worse (like what happened in February), the Agong will step in to help solve the problem and practice His Majesty's rights as per the constitution.

Episod yang dia pertahankan perairan masa lawan Jepun sangat menarik. Korea kan dah tak ada raja. Tapi drama Korea selalu je buat 'what if' monarki diorng masih wujud sampai sekarang.

Raja Muda/Tengku Mahkota = Crown Prince of the each state. Diffetent state either one title for their crown prince. Tunku Temenggong however is not a crown prince. Its a special royal title bestowed by Sultan of Johor to his 3rd prince. A few of the sultan's wives are not of royal blood like Tunku Permaisuri Norashikin of Selangor.

But the new generation of crown princess in Perlis and Kelantan are both commoners. So I am not sure what their titles will be when they become queen consort. First time in history common blood becoming queen in these 2 states. Negeri Sembilan we don't know who will be future Yang di-Pertuan Besar or his consort.
