(02:23), (13:13) There is a typo. Between the number and the counting unit, there should be a space. So 만오천원입니다. -> 만오천 원입니다. Sorry about that.☺

전 이런 방법을 더 좋아해요 . 한국어 작막 있는 것은 먼저 나오고 자막 없는 거는 마지막에 해 주는 거 전 영상들보다 좋아해요 .

Wow. This is incredible. I am so grateful for the three ways the lesson is presented. The reading always helps my comprehension, the notes and breakdown of vocab and grammer points really makes sure I know what I happening, and then it is great to be able to test myself without the subtitles. I appreciate this method and your hard work!

Hi! I love your lessons. Could you explain the conjugation of 받았습니다? If the dictionary form is 받다, what is 았? I only know how to conjugate like this: 받습니다 so I don't know what 았 means here. Thank you.
@KoreanArah
@KoreanArah 4 жыл бұрын
받았습니다 is from 받다 + 았 + 습니다 As a beginner, you need to know 았 can mean 2 different things depending on the context. 1. past tense; something happened in the past. 어제 친구를 만났어요. I met my friend yesterday. 2. present perfect; something happened in the past and its result continues in the present. It's similar with 'have just + past participle' in English. 주문하신 음식이 나왔습니다. (The server at a restaurant says this.) Lit. Your food has just come out. So, 았 (받았습니다) from the conversation in my video means no.2. You can find this dictionary for 았. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ me2.do/53Y63JJf For more conjugations, check this video with 10 conjugations. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6HEXop9e7GDmc0

At the 3:42 mark it sounds like you are saying 두 명이야 but on the screen it shows 두 명요 Can you please clarify the exact pronunciation?
@KoreanArah
@KoreanArah 11 ай бұрын
It possibly sounds like it. 요 is a combined sound of 이(y) +오(o) = 요(yo). But Korean customers hardly use '두 명이야' to waiters or waitresses since 두 명이야 is a casual (nonpolite) and rude expression 🥲 and 두 명요 is a polite expression.
