@@Ehsan870 I would be interested if you can refer to some reliable source. I have seen a Wikipedia claim that 49 percent of Pakistanis can speak English. Seems most improbable! My estimate is that probably not more then 2-5 percent (5-10 million) of Pakistanis can speak, read and write English with fluency and, perhaps, another 10-15 percent (22--33 million) can speak English with varying degree of fluency. About 60 percent of the population lives in rural areas and only 40 percent in urban areas, most people who understand English are found in the urban concentrations. Yes you will find some English speakers from Gwadar to Gilgit, but not many. The largest number of English speakers are to be found in the US, followed by India, UK, Canada and Australia. You could say that Pakistan has the sixth largest number of English speakers.

@@ahmedakhan1 fluency is another thing .. Not everyone will be like super smooth but Pakistanis understanding and accent is a lot better than most Nationalities reason might be coz we were a former British colony or we adopt quickly even here in Europe Pakistanis speak better English than most locals .. I have been to few European Countries and also worked in Northern Pakistan Naran and Astor and people there were able to speak and understand English . And I am talking about the northern areas which is remote place unlike most Pakistani cities but even in Cities people who attended Becon house School or educators are fluent speakers even those who only attended local schools or had very little schooling experience can speak English with ease. Not everyone will score over 6 points on a ilets test but most will be able to take at least 3 to 5 points.
