The fish is mostly Red Fish , the Yellow stuff is Gari- it’s mixed with the stew and oil To give it that colour . The stew is tomato based and the spiceness in the waakye is shito . And Ghana Jollof is better any day .

Waakye is traditionally eaten with goat meat stew, you should try it next time. It’s even better! If you do a part 3, try a dish called banku with okra soup. It’s the best! It’s a specialty in Ghana.

Am Ghanaian and your food is waakye as you said that yellowish thing is called gari u mix it with the waakye and the noodles when eating. The waakye should have tomatoe stew and shito (black pepper stew) when u mix it with the waakye omg u will loooove it.
