The comment about learning to enjoy your skincare routine is so true! If you go in with the mindset "oh, 10 steps is a chore" then you will never maintain it. I am also new to K-beauty and I now love my AM and PM routine!

Your advice and opinions are not only honest, but they are priceless. You've turned my skincare and makeup regimens in the right directions. I always perform due diligence on all recommendations because not everything will work for everyone. Korean Beauty products are HIGHLY regulated - especially relative to quality - in a positive way. If only a "you" had been around 35 years ago for the products that were out then. *sigh* - but I love you being here, now. Grateful.

Love love love this video! Thank you!! Also, just a little tip of something I started doing to remember ingredients in a product that aren't listed on the bottle: I cut them off of the cardboard box and tape them on the bottle. Works like a charm!!

I am another K-skinthusiast and my list of favorite products is a bit lengthy for 2:30 am. I am excited to discover someone else who uses multiples of the Korean hydrating toners and essences to do the “seven skins” method. I thought it was just me.

I really enjoy all the helpful details you share about mature skin. I have noticed some different views within K beauty and western skincare regarding exfoliating mature skin. One prominent K beauty influencer says that mature skin shouldn’t be exfoliated. She just turned 40 and is transitioning over to non-exfoliating. What is your guidance on this issue? I just turned 60 and wanting to do all I can to learn more. Thanks for all your great videos.

New sub. I use toners and essences just like you did here (layer different toners rather than multiple layers of the same) for the same reasons. It's my favorite step of my skincare routine! I use a number of different brands so I'll list my favorites here. FTR I am 56 with fair, dry skin living in a cold, dryish environment (Alaska). My skin needs all the hydration it can get! History of Whoo Radiant Rejuvenating Balancer (Korea) Farmacy Honey Milk Hydrating Essence (US) Regelica Microbiome & Vitamin C Immunity Support Essence (Korea) TirTir Milk Skin Toner (Korea) Jin Jung Sung Face Moisturizer Essence Serum (Korea) Numbuzin #3 Glow Toner (Korea) La Mer The Treatment Lotion (US) I have a lot more but these have turned out to be my favorites! I love to use them every day and if my skin feels parched mid day I just use one or two of these and I'm good. Also enjoy the Cos Rx Snail Mucin essence and cream. I have lots of serums/gel creams/creams as well but the toner essence part of my routine is by far the most enjoyable. Thinking about trying the cure as a physical exfoliator. Currently I use AHAs mostly for that purpose but sometimes a physical exfoliant is nice as long as it isn't too harsh on the skin.

As a newly to K-beauty I am really enjoying your videos. There is so much information out there and it is easy to get lost in it all but your knowledge, detailed routines and product recommendations are incredibly helpful. I’m repairing my barrier after ruining it with retinoids/acids and intend to slowly add new products into my skincare routine so your informations is valuable. I live in Greece where some products are either unavailable or can’t be shipped so I’d appreciate recommendations of products similar to Aqua Gel Gentle Exfoliator and Peach & Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist. Both seem quite special so I understand if I've asked a silly question!

Hi Sarah, loving your videos/ tutorials. Benton eye cream is my Holy Grail for my very dehydrated under eyes. I think I’m going to try Dr. Pung Kang Yul’s eye cream. I have used his essences and love them. He discovered that one of his products he put on burn patients really quickly healed the wounds. I usually always keep his healing balm on hand. Ughh I’ve got to order another one. Do you have a video on treating dehydrated under eyes and face? Thank you

Have you tried skin conditioners? They are a J Beauty thing. You seem to like layering multiple layers of toners, and skin conditioners are made for that. Kikumasamune is my favourite but the Hatomugi from Naturie is lighter.

I am new to toners and I want to apply them but then there is this rule that the most precious actives we should apply first so that they absorb best so I am afrraid that through those all toners my peptides or other actives wont absorb? any thoughts? I've just recently decided to start trying K-products. I have to say I was totally disappointed in the BOJ Glow serum as well as their Dynasty Cream Hydrating Face Moisturizer. Holy sticky tackiness!! I thought the serum was causing the moisturizer to be sticky tacky, but I tried them by themselves and all the same result. My face felt so gross all day long until I washed my face before bed. I returned both. I do like the BOJ Revive Eye Serum.

I have been using some products (total newbie) and wonder I'd your skin is suppose to be shiny? I don't necessarily like that bc when I apply my Seint makeup, it's still shiny. 😏 I'm also 45 and don't need to look like I'm sweating/ hot, Lord knows I have enough fun with that! 😂

Typically that is the goal of “glass skin”, skin that glows and is hydrated and healthy as opposed to looking dull or lackluster and dehydrated, which tends to increase the look of fine lines and ages us. But it really is a personal preference whether your finish with makeup is dewy or not. Since SEINT gives a dewy look if it’s too much for you, just use a setting powder where you want to reduce shine or use a mattifying SPF 👍🏻

I see there is an exfoliating step both am and pm daily. Is it ok to exfoliate that much, or at least daily?

I always recommend at least 15-20 minutes before SEINT with any skincare routine but with the 7 layers it may take longer 🤣

Love love love skin care videos! I trust you and most everything you suggest is great…except the snail mucin! That stuff does nothing for me. Nothing good. Nothing bad. Honestly can’t say it does anything, got the brand you suggested too but oh well, still love your skincare suggestions!

Do you usually skip vitamin C when doing this? I know it can really not work as well if not used on dry skin depending on the formulation

It can totally be used, since it comes in different forms it just still needs to applied in correct order depend on what form you have. And be sure not to use it in same routine as other ingredients that shouldn't be mixed, i.e. acids, retinoid

I use the propolis by Joeseon in the AM and I get pilling. Do you have any recommendations to prevent that from happening?

What else are you layering with it? Usually pilling happens when you aren't giving enough time for the previous product to fully soak in or you are layering something with more silicones, which those are prone to pill. I've never had mine give me any issues so it might be what you are using at the same time with it or your order of application even.

When I use the Cosrx Snail Essence in the morning, I can’t get anything to lay down over it. My Glowscreen seems to pill terribly with it which is frustrating because I LOVE the snail mucin essence. Thoughts?

Are you applying anything in between the two? Try applying the Snail after cleansing and before serums and make sure you are waiting long enough for it to soak in before going in with the GlowScreen. I notice the GlowScreen pills on me sometimes too when I'm trying to do my routine too fast!

I use it to supplement my other skincare- SEINT doesn’t have essences, serums, eye creams etc… it’s a great affordable option too if you’re starting with no regimen you can get a lot for the same cost of just the one SEINT crème (even if it’s worth it not everyone wants to spend that much)!
