Actually, it has been tested by Director Pi and it has a SPF of 57.6. She also found that it is extremely waterproof and does not go away easily with cleansing foam. I use this every day and I have SUPER EXTREMELY OILY skin. It is NOT matte at all, it is glowy BUT NOT OILY. I really like this. I use a powder on top and it is the best sunscreen I have ever used. The only con is that it can slightly sting your eyes. You always put way tooo much sunscreen. It is impossible that almost every sunscreen you try does not work for you. Try to put half of the quantity you used, wait few minutes to let it dry and then layer on top the other half.

Hi Andrea Carniello, thanks for your comments. In respect of sunscreen, it is tested as 2mg/cm² and that is unfortunately so much that most sunscreens are greasy, unless Starch and Silica is added more or less in abundance. How one applies the sunscreen is important, hence I try to only use my finger tips, as the point is to get the whole amount of 1.25 mg onto the face and neck, I fear, that even some might use the correct amount, then much might end up in the palms of their hands, if using the entire palm of the hand. This sunscreen makes you highly glossed in my view and feels, as I stated, like using too much of a Silicone primer, which is not strange as it contains rather some Silicone. The sunscreen Director Pi has tested (I have not seen the actually test) I believe was for an earlier formula that was very different and which contained Butyloctyl Salicylate (as the third ingredient after water). I feel that you can easily wash the sunscreen away with water, that you can't normally do for water-repellant sunscreens. It has not annoyed my eyes in any way but earlier version of it might. I recently tested a sunscreen from Nivea kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2ipY3isbJWLmtk that contained Tapoica Starch and Silica and which, when using the correct amount, felt very fine on the skin but as said did it contain at least two ingredients to balance the greasiness, I only see what looks like a moderate amount of Silica in the Korean one, so it makes one wonder. The day after filming I used the sunscreen as the only thing I put on my face (I did not wash my face in the morning after my evening routine) and it felt very non-moisturising, so much so, that I was eager to get back home and remove it to put on some cream, actually was I just about to buy a basic cream from Simple at a service station, just to add some moisture to my skin (well I didn't in the end though but my skin felt uncomfortable). How does the glow of the Scinic compare to the Isntree Watery Sun gel if you used that? I have combo skin and found the Isntree a bit too shiny on my skin

What powder do you use to set the sunscreen? I prefer a more matte finish & I don't use make up, so glowy/dewy feels greasy on me :/

A lot of these Korean sunscreens that people test out are considered daily sunscreens meaning it's supposed to be more comfortable to wear on a daily basis to the office or something and yes they are easy to remove to make them easier to use on a daily basis. However, there are some more resistant Korean sunscreens as well that are more difficult to remove and made to be sweat and water resistant like the Isa Knox Extreme Sun Fluid. Also, I need to look into this myself but I believe I've heard that some of these Korean sunscreen brands provide lab testing results possibly? So may be something to look into! Also Lab Muffin Beauty Science and Dr. Dray have videos discussing Asian sunscreens and their efficacy and are far more educated on the topic than I. It's okay if you do not care for them but some of them really are far more comfortable to wear imo so I would encourage you to try out some others. ☺️ Actually I'd love to see you try the really water resistant Isa Knox one I mentioned as I haven't had a chance to try it out for myself yet. 😊

Hi Hellokittydoll 27, thanks for your comments. Yes, there can be something about if a sunscreen is water resistant or not, but organic sunscreens are oily so needs stuff added to deal with that, some use more stuff than others, however, one needs to use the correct amount of sunscreen and so that it actually ends up on the face and not mainly in the palm of one's hands. As you see do I use the correct amount when testing and then the supposedly nice sunscreens are often-times not so nice any longer, but for channels that seems to push products regardless, then that seems irrelevant..., as I see it. I see I can get the one you talk about here in the UK, so maybe I'll try it. Yes, some Korean sunscreens shows lab results but does one trust them, that's a different matter. The one you talk of contains Ethylhexyl Salicylate. Best Jesper BSc

@@JesperOffersenBSc Using the correct amount is so important! I tend to be heavy handed with my sunscreen and then apply it in layers and let them dry between the layers. 😊 It makes me cringe when people say "a little goes a long way" with sunscreens. 😂 Thank you for your response and I am enjoying your sunscreen reviews! 😊

I think it just comes down to purpose. A lot of Korean sunscreens are the way they are because they use them differently as compared to Europeans or Americans who tend to only use them if they think they risk being burned. My distrust with SPF is less about who makes sunscreens and more about our current gold standard methodology for measuring SPF. The measurement itself is highly subjective and variable between labs. Overall, I trust Korean sunscreens if I'm only looking to wear something to go to work or run minor errands. I look for more robust sunscreens for extended UV exposure.

Glowy and greasy are two different things. Korean sunscreens that I use are glowy yet dry touch when they settle. A dusting of powder is all it takes to bring down the radiance if not wanted.

Hi again Night Lily, yes, glowy is not necessarily greasy, but usually greasiness is "glowy"/shiny. I don't know which sunscreen you use, but make sure you use about 1.25ml for the face, neck, and ears, and don't smear too much of it into the palms of your hands. Using powder on top which contains Zinc Oxide or Titatnium Dioxide might compromise the sun protection. Best Jesper BSc

Hi Night Lily, maybe, but do you believe it? Lots of European sunscreens fails in consumer magazine tests, and I don't believe it would be otherwise with Korean sunscreens. Best Jesper BSc

Didn’t like this at all. Leaves a shinny goop look on the skin. What I’ve noticed is that any Asian sunscreen with niacinamide gives this look.
