This is sadly a stereotype which actually endangers mexican GIRLS and women. It is not a familiar practice to press lips against a strangers face. They coached her to do this. This WESTERNIZED channel is just promoting stereotypes that sexualize Latin women/girls (aka minors). No one in Mexico randomly kisses a stranger. I always find it funny how "romantic" our greeting is to Koreans. Lol, when I went to Korea another thing my friends found strange was that whenever we arrive anywhere we greet everyone, for example let's say you go in a doctors office and there are already other people in the waiting room, you go in and say "Good morning, afternoon, night" depending on the time, loud enough for everyone in the room to hear and everyone says it back to you. And if you don't it's a little disrespectful. This is only a México thing. Mexicans in United Stated don't do this.

This girl clearly didn't grow up in Mexico. As someone who actually grew up in Mexico, I can tell you for a fact that the traditional way to say hello in Mexico isn't by "putting your hand on their shoulder and leaning your head forward". The traditional way to say hello is to give a kiss on the cheek, although it's not mandatory. Similar to how a lot of European countries greet each other. Mind you, this is only done with family, and friends. When it comes to meeting new people, it really depends on the context. If it's people you're meeting at a casual party, then a kiss on the cheek is how you greet someone. However, if you're meeting someone new for business purposes, it would be inappropriate to give them a kiss on the cheek. Instead, you would greet them with a firm handshake.

@@Mrtetzu A tradition is the transmission of doctrines, rites and customs from generation to generation, regardless of their origin (for example, religion). Customs and folklore in America come from Europe, Asia and Africa and were enriched by local customs. But thank you for your observation.

In Puerto Rico This is also how you greet someone, you also shake hands or give them a hug... it all depends... if it's an aunt or grandmother, get ready, the hug includes a kiss, a pinch and a squeeze, It depends on which part of the island... 😅😅😅😅😅

@@EmikoZueexactly, I don't want my comment to be interpreted as an offense because that's really not my intention. It just depends on each person's personal taste,In this part of the country we have more taste for the cowboy type, while on the other side the old money type.
