Scammers are everywhere so its important to keep conversation to a minimum about personal life. Simple questions like where you from? What do you do for work? How long are you staying? Have you been to this country before? these are common questions asked to find out what you're worth and how easy a target you will be.

Kim Ji Yeon I hate it because every time I do that, and she/he asks me and I need to go somewhere, I pretend I don’t know Korean and say “Sorry I don’t speak Korean” but in reality that’s my first language. And when they speak English I close my eyes and say “미안해, 이해 못해.” (Which means I’m sorry I don’t understand) * two minutes later I end up sitting outside waiting *

Him trying to understand Korean is so cute. Mostly because of how interactive aunties from Korea can be. If a random street food seller asks you “Where you from?” You get sorta creeped out. But if a Korean auntie asks you, it’s nothing to be worried about.

I think it would be so cool to visit SouthKorea to taste all the different foods. I think different cultures are so amazing. I got into Kpop and it really opened my eyes to how different other places are from America food and culture wise. I really didn't think about other places than America before so I've been trying to broaden my horizons to learn more about Korean culture and try different foods. I've found I love Thai food and forgive me if I sound ignorant when I saw this but I think Korean food is kind of similar to Thai food in the fact that it has many components in its food. I love the variety. ❤️

JESUS CHRIST MIKE CHEN, HOW MANY CHANNELS DO YOU HAVE? I've been subscribed to Beyond Science for at least a year and I NEVER knew about this channel. I just found out about Beyond Science 2 a few months ago. Now this outta nowhere. This is such a mind blow. I'm subscribing not just because I love food too and I think you're a really cool dude but mostly because of how blown my mind is right now. Mike Chen blowing your mind in more ways than just the videos on his Beyond Science channel. BEYOND SCIENCE PEOPLE WHERE YOU AT.

oh my, I had the same reaction as u when I reached the intersection in gwangjang market!! There was so many stalls selling so many things but they said the TOP food was mungbean pancake but there was so many stalls selling it! So I had to choose the one with the least queue and it turned out AMAZING. So imagine if I went for the longer queue one, it MIGHT have been more delicious :-)

Love your videos!, found your video today, thought it was awesome you where on the top of trending videos. Food to me is at the heart of a culture and for you to share how it differs from what we get as American take out is very important to me. I once asked about Mongolian beef and realize I was just being patronized. I care about where the recipes come from that I make and eat. Thank you for sharing your heritage and culture with us :) to me that is what the 4th is about not just Independence from england. Cheers!!

Korea is the most vegetarian place I've been to. I was waiting for the train at this train station and there was a fast food place in the station. No meat dishes whatsoever on the menu except for the wonton soup, really surprised me. Of course, I'm assuming the wontons had meat in them, lol!

The persecution of Falun Gong refers to the campaign initiated in 1999 by the Chinese Communist Party to eliminate the spiritual practice of Falun Gong in China. It is characterized by a multifaceted propaganda campaign, a program of enforced ideological conversion and re-education, and a variety of extralegal coercive measures such as arbitrary arrests, forced labor, and physical torture, sometimes resulting in death. Falun Gong is a qigong discipline combining slow-moving exercises and meditation with a moral philosophy centered on the tenets of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. It was founded by Li Hongzhi, who introduced it to the public in May 1992 in Changchun, Jilin. Following a period of rapid growth in the 1990s, the Communist Party launched a campaign to "eradicate" Falun Gong on 20 July 1999.
