This was such a great tutorial, you're a delight. I will order my chicken direct from a farm that raises the healthiest, happiest free-to-forage chickens so I won't feel gross eating a chicken that originates from industrial scale farming. The perfect healthy lunch for summer. Thank you.

This is such a great channel, and a very easy to follow video. Thanks so much! An interesting side note: Studying Korean culture has led me to discover many parallels between cultural practices of Black people and Korean people. Washing chicken is now one of them, lol.

There is an authentic Korean Restaurant nearby. We weren't able to order the Samgyetang. It is worth almost ₩47000 but still worth it to eat there like we almost finish every dish served. Our favorite was cheesy tteokboki.

I always ask my mom to make this for me when I’m craving it, but I always feel so bad. I tried asking for the recipe, but she always tells me she can’t give me a recipe cause she says she always eyeballs everything. Now, I think I can make it on my own!

Thanks for your nice recipes 🙏🏻 I got dried Samgyetang dried kits. It has something looked like a slice of wood. My soup tasted weird and woody. How to use this kit for a good flavour?. Thanks ❤
@koreanbapsang683525 күн бұрын
Samgyetang kits sometimes include other herb wood sticks. You can remove them if you don't like the taste of it.

Is it possible to make this in the crockpot / slowcooker ? If so, for how long and what setting ? (low, medium, high?)
@koreanbapsang683510 ай бұрын
The broth needs to boil for more rich broth, but I'm sure you can cook in the crockpot. I'd use high and at least 4 hours. But, I haven't actually done it myself in the crockpot.

Are Ginseng powder,American or any other countries' Ginseng or dried Ginseng can be substitute to Korean Ginseng? And are American or any other countries' Dates can be substitute for Chinese Red Dates/Jujube?
@koreanbapsang683511 ай бұрын
Yes, but if using dried ginseng, you may want to boil it first and then add the chicken.
