Johnny DESTROYED by INSANE Korea University Festival Cheering!?!

Today we are back at Korea University with Johnny, to experience one of the most unique University Festival cultures in the world!! During the year that I spent studying at Korea University I met lots of incredible people and had lots of new experiences, but by far the most unforgettable was the experience of Korea-Yonsei University rivalry, and the cheering culture that surrounds the rival festivals.
Unfortunately we weren't in Korea with Johnny for the actual 고연전 this year, but we were lucky enough to take him to the Ipsilenti Festival, and get a glimpse of how Korea University students come together, cheer for their university, and bond together!!

오늘은 조니와 함께 다시 고려대에 가서 세상에서 가장 독특한 대학 축제를 경험해봅니다!! 제가 고대에서 교환학생으로 지내는 동안 정말 좋은 사람도 많이 만나고 새로운 경험도 많이 해봤지만, 그중에서도 가장 잊을 수 없는 기억은 고연전과 축제, 그리고 응원전이었던 것 같아요!
안타깝게도 조니와 올해 고연전은 함께 가보지 못했지만, 입실렌티 축제는 타이밍이 딱 맞아서 고대 학생들이 어떻게 응원하고 단결하는지 보여줄 수 있었답니다!!

Wow Ollie, way to not wear red LOL. So I'm not sure why but for some reason, I got super emotional watching this. Like, we're talking legit "choked up, why do my eyes want to get teary" kinda stuff. I don't know why hahaha. I just really want to experience this. :( Hardly anyone at my university has any kind of school pride and there would never in a million years be something like this. It just seems like such an incredible experience.

yonsei is the rival uni of kora uni. so they organize a festival together. You can experince exactly same thing in yonsei uni. Only those two unis have that crazy festival.

I've been circling back in this vid, whenever I'm stressed. But maybe that circling around with their arms almost having a side hug with each other, while jamming with the Uni's cheer or hymn, is like saying to each other, "We're in this together through ups and downs as comrades in this uni." And the ups and downs are the banging of the head together. Basically summing up college life. Yeah it sucks coz it's like roller coaster. But roller coaster is fun with your friends around.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ친구따라 입실렌티 가봤는데 아무리 신나도 저 분위기에는 같이 녹아들수가 없었어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 가기전에는 가수도 볼겸 또 뭔가 야알못이 두산공연가서 응원하는 그런 기분일줄알았는데 전혀 달랐어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 뭔가 우리가 붉은악마 2002월드컵때 반 미쳐서 응원했던 그런 분위기처럼 아주 강력한 소속감이 없으면 이렇게까지 미칠순없겠다 싶더라구요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그래서 가수공연끝나고부터는 뒤에 돌계단에 앉아서 사람들 저렇게 노는거 구경했어요ㅋㅋㅋ 가끔 파란 티 입은 연대생들이 그들만의 원 만들어서 같이 놀고있고 ㅋㅋ 단대별로 엄청 큰 깃발도 흔들고 되게 재밌는 그림이었습니다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 축제끝나고 집와서 친구 파스붙여준 추억이 새록새록하네요 ㅋㅋㅋ

Hi guys, I was watching this but did not know you were an alumni of KU. I was part of the cheerleading at KU and there are 2 huge events Ipsilenti in spring and the sport match (Ko-yon Fate) in Fall its crazier you chould be when they do the cheeraleading competition or Orientation together with Yonsei (don't know if they still do it) 강추 waiting for that video^^

미친 입실영상이다!!!ㅠㅠㅠ5월이었는데 이제 올라오네여!여긴 정기 '고연전'이 아니라 '입실렌티'라고 해요!고대 축제 기간 일주일 중 가장 마지막 날에 응원단의 주최로 열리는 행사를 뜻해요 ㅎㅎ내가 조쉬랑 같은 곳에 있었다니 ㅠㅠㅜㅜㅠ왜 몰랐니 나년....근데 민족의 아리아 할 때 '함성발사'를 고려대에선 '애니멀 사운드 발사!!!!!'라고 해요! :) 참고해쥬세용 히히 입실보다 고연전이 진짜 오지는데ㅠㅠ특히 골넣었을 때 뱃노래란...더럽...내년엔 고연전 마지막날 참살이 길도 가주세여!!!거기 길바닥에서 단체로 술마신상태에서 길거리 응원하는데 그게 또 그렇게 재미나답니다 꺄륵
