I get what you mean, but giving a wrong diagnosis can't really be seen as killing someone. Many doctors do this every day and sometimes it is because of negligence, sometimes it's because they really don't know it better. I think it is absolutely right that she loses her ability to work as a doctor because she was ignorant and maybe could have saved her but she really didn't kill anyone. Sadly, that is how the medical system works

@@souptown8490 That's somewhat like the trolley problem except youre not choosing who gets to die, just if some gets to die. She could have done her job and she could have prevented a death. Unlike the trolley problem even, she's obligated morally and by her job to "pull the lever" aka do a proper diagnosis checkup. Acting like she didn't kill anyone just because she wasn't the one who caused the sickness is just shitty. Her actiond led to the ultimate outcome and therefore she's pretty much guilty of homicide. She practically killed someone.

@totlicker
@totlicker 2 жыл бұрын
@@aditigautam437 "she didn't know the woman would die so it's okay" that logic of yours is flawed because 1, she's a goddamn medical professional and should do a proper analysis instead of immediately jumping to a conclusion on someone based on physical appearance and stereotypes (a lot of injuries or medical conditions could cause a bruise, that's just common sense). She didn't even take in other factors, or acknowledge her neglect until long after, in fact, she was honestly quite selfish and lazy. At least she did her job (aka what she's required to do) to bring back the husband from the brink of death, but she doesn't deserve her job because that level of neglect doesn't just disappear. No doctors are perfect, but she didn't even give that patient a damn chance. Now, for my 2nd point (finally), she should've known as a medical professional who studied and learned and worked to get there, and it isn't suddenly "okay" because she "hadn't known" (again, it's not like she's some bystander) as that's not how the world works and with ur logic, many ppl would be living Willy Nilly after doing something horrible or being responsible for something horrible because "they didn't know." There's this one case, not relating to medical practices albeit, where this man shot at a car in blind road rage and not was aiming at the driver. He didn't seem to have cared if he had killed her or not, as he did it blindly, but he went his merry way after seeing nothing visibly happened. That driver, lived and was physically unharmed. That all being said, her (the driver's) 3 or 4 (really young) year old son was shot and killed as the bullets went through the back of the car, and through the kid's carseat. This actually happened, can't remember the case name or what it's referred to for the life of me. By your logic, what the guy (the shooter) did was wrong, but he hadn't known he murdered a kid. Therefore, hE's oNlY hUmAn, right? Wrong. Very, very wrong! Your approach to life is questionable.

The fact that she didn’t feel regret and bad after finding out her huge mistake but instead only thought about herself and how she can rescue her career kind of makes me dislike her character. She only realized what she has done when the man tried to end his life and she herself was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was a horrible person before but when everything in her life went downhill that was her turning point. Her being regretful and sorry doesn’t change anything for the man that lost his wife due to her false diagnosis, but she finally sees the world with different eyes. Better late than never. I think the writer did that on purpose so that she can have a development in character. Speaking of doctors in real life. They deal with death on a daily basis so I think most doctors have a different approach on death than other people. I think every doctor has at least once made a false diagnosis. I think they need to distance themselves to death because if not this job must be emotionally draining. Imagine a surgeon doing a small mistake when operating and the patient dies. If they don’t distance themselves, I don’t think they can get over if someone dies at their hand. When they deal with patients every day, I kind of understand that they lose their string to humanity and only see their patients as an object of their work. I only know a few doctors who really take their time to listen to their patients and want the best for them, on the other hand I’ve been to a lot of doctors who wont even listen to me and just prescribe me some medication and send me home. I have hypothyroidism and it was undiagnosed for years because my doctor at that time thought I was stressed out at school and did no further checkups on me. I’ve suffered from severe fatigue and hair loss at that time. Don’t get me wrong I’m not defending bad doctors. I think every doctor should do their best. But I also feel like they are humans as well and humans make mistakes. She was a horrible person. But for me she regained her humanity the moment she realized her wrongdoings and apologized and even resigned from being a doctor. That shows how regretful she is. People who don’t reflect on their past and continue doing shitty things don’t deserve any good in their lives. But she did reflect and became more understanding to her surroundings, so I think she deserves her happy end.

The dilemma here is where this woman can be forgiven. Through her arrogance and negligence she caused a patient to die and the husband to suffer,the deceased woman's family was adversely affected forever. She shamelessly went after the firefighter to use him to retaliate the lawsuit against her although they developed a relationship after. Her selfishness, status and haughtiness made her harm others, looking down upon them condenscendingly but now karma catches up with her and she's remorseful? Good story but I think she should be punished,it's the only equivalent to justice her victims will get.

Wow. If the movie had presented the guy who had performed the misdiagnosis, then there would be consequences for him. You bet there would be a scene of him apologizing to the family in the end because the female MC makes him realize his arrogant ways. Or something like that. While the story is cute, this movie borderlines on negligence. I would fire that doctor simply because of her unprofessional ethics. She didn't make a mistake. She made a false judgment.

I will be honest. Movie had a great cast but the female lead was an absolute, 100% despicable character. And at no point did I feel she did a single thing to warrant him liking her in any way whatsoever. I tried to like it. It was well acted and had a couple of really good scenes. But she was just the worst.

Such a drama! - To be the reason of someone to die yet you think nothing but your career and be a little more selfish to cause problems in a depressed man so that he can feel what he felt when he was with his wife, not to mention do it by seducing/deceiving him! - Ruin the man's life who loves his wife but just because of his tattoo, lost her. Also nearly becoming the reason of his death! Mental! - I'm speechless about this drama to show how a sinner who caused an innocent woman to die as if she deserve the life better than her husband who attempted a murder. She wanted to prove she can save more lives if forgiven!!! 1 life lost, what about the lost life? can she live again in an alternate world? I often wondered how it would be if omniscient perspective chose to be on the villain's side, I got my answer, thank you. :) A person who becomes the reason for another person to die, may deserve to live but not a better life than the same dead person! Your life is as precious as others life!

Cause of death for wife is not the doctor but the disease itself which is not caused by the doctor. The doctor merely failed to diagnose the condition in time which is a negligence and reflects poorly on her career but it doesnt mean she wanted to kill the wife. She may have diagnosed 100s of cases correctly in her career, so 1 misdiagnosis doesnt mean she deserves to be called a sinner.

This is why I can't stand netizens they always feel they have the right to be judge and jury and push for a sentence on people. Almost like the Doctor over the bruise on the woman's arm. Most of the time they can't know the truth. When I was younger, I worked in a law office, I learned that there are far more innocent people in prison than you would think and often it was public opinion that influenced their verdict. This is what this story made me think of because of my life experience. It's always better not to form a judgement on someone when you can't know 100% what their story is and no one ever believes someone once rumor takes over, where a real investigation of facts should be their fate. Also, an eyewitness is never reliable especially when a group of people come forward to give statements on someone, some of them could have arterial motives. So, I know better than to listen whole heartily to netizens as far as I'm concern, they lose credibility by acting like Big Brother, think how many lives they have changed and not for the better even though they would like to think so. What is their story could they go through the same frenzy that they put others through I think not?

I like the movie but I hate the love storyline. Plus she got a tumor in the head and at the end she's working as firefighter? There's no point letting her character having a tumor like it shouldn't be in the storyline. She can go on without having the tumor in her head in the storyline!!! I just hate the fact that the tumor is gonna effect the relationship but its not. At the end she acts just fine so is she gonna die? Or did she went on surgery to get it out? Like there's no after effect of her having the tumor?

Eventhough she was wrong for misjudging the man, there is this thing called a second opinion. if you knew she was jumping to conclusions and not treating your wife properly, you could've demanded to see another doctor or went to a different hospital altogether. But you just went home with your wife who was critically ill. So we cant put all the blame on the doctor. especially since she wasnt the only one there. Also, dumbest breakup i have seen in a while. all this was going on when you got together. So its not like she changed or anything. In the end, she did apologize. but did he drop the lawsuit because of that. No. He only dropped it because she saved his life after her foolishly tried to commit suicide. had that not happened, he wouldve contiued with the suit. she wouldve lost her license and career and all over a mistake. im not talking about misjudging the situation. I am saying that despite assuming this was spousal abuse, she shouldve still done a thorough exam and they wouldve probably found the problem and there would not have been any problem when and if the wife died because she wouldve done her due diligence. but all in all it does seem like a good movie. i might watch it some day. but now i am more in to disaster movies. dont feel like watch anything melodramatic.
