Technically malaysia isnt on lockdown..the correct term is MCO (movement control order ). It is different then lockdown or some says it is similar to partial lockdown. U cant go to work at all or go outside if it's lockdown. People can still go outside but with restriction towards only important things (e.g buying food,going to work, clinic @ hospitals) People can still go to work for certain important area (important industry as stated by the PM which are in need for the country's survival) for example industry than involve telecommunications network, food and mini-mart. The things that aren't allowed is gatherings and dining in. Eatry places are still open only for delivery and drive thru..no dine in. Shopping complex needs to be close, simply saying things that people can survive without it need to be closed while things and places that people need to survive can be operated following the rules as stated during MCO. Malaysia can't handle lockdown as being said by experts, that's why it is extremely important for Malaysian to follow through the MCO so that the spread of viruses can slow down and hospitals can handle cases better and calmly. Total Lockdown affect trade prices and economic badly, im not sure many people realize this but lockdown is bad and a big decision so pls guy..any Malaysian please STAY AT HOME 🙏

to be honest I was one of the sceptical ones when the new government was formed 😅 but I think the reason is mostly cause people were panicking from the rise of the covid-19 cases and they decided to change the board by then, but seeing how the new government has been handling the issue quite well (by imposing MCO and helping the rakyat financially) I can see tat they are trying real hard to help us (and of course the front liners) I am really starting to like the new government (and most of my friends too who were sceptical at first) what I'm saying is that I can see that the situation of 'not satisfied with the new leader' have been improved in the past week/weeks 🤗

As a doctor in government facilitiy i would like to mention some facts; 1) Malaysians pay RM 1 for government facility treatment...not RM5 . 2) Nope we dont have as much budget like Korea for Covid tests...Thats why tests is restricted to those who fulfill criteria for CoVID...unlike Korea...everyone is allowed to take the test even drive through...wow..im sorry Malaysians..i swear we want to do more for you..Medical technology? Its okay n bearable of coz not as advance as Korea 3) We are educating each other alot...We make sure publics to get information only frm Ministry of Health ..n not to spread. False n fake news. and we are TRANSPARENT to the public with whats going on..no underreporting like ....emmm u know PS thank you for the positive comments Koreans...it makes me feel better...so far the statistic graph shows like we can get over this soon..Keep fighting..n Keep staying at home..We can do this..Once this is over im sure we can be proud.. Korea Couple -코리아커플 Basically for Malaysians..when they seek treatment frm the Emergency Department its RM1..However if we think they need a follow up by specialised department as outpatient then they have to pay RM5 for each follow up ... nonetheless Rm1 or Rm5 its still very cheap..

Watching this video make me feel grateful live in Malaysia. While the Malaysian netizens are complaining and condemning the new government, the outsiders are appreciating them more. The government and the frontliners are doing their best to control the virus while some of irresponsible Malaysians couldn't cooperate at all. We were asked to stay at home restricted our activities for 14 days only. I hope there will be major changes tomorrow onwards. Hope Malaysia can control this situation well. However, Korea's approach to COVID-19 is also fast and amazing in my opinion. The decision for wide-spread testing for everyone was enough to bring down new reported cases from more than 500/day to less than 100/day in 2 weeks time, without implementing a lock down too!!! I agree that the MCO is a good policy and much needed for this time, but Korea's implementation of how they handled the disease, with transparency, wide-spread testing and preventing public panic should be admired and followed by governments all over.

Guess what, my family FORCE me to come out just to see our relatives at my aunts house where there is kids esp. my relatives that literally TOOK A FLIGHT few days ago and can potentially be infected by it (i hope not)and now IM STUCK IN THIS HOUSE WITH THEM. just because we haven't seen them for over a year! They keep messaging me and forcing me to come and i fking hate it and rn im here and now For some reason before coming here, i had this feeling of regretting coming here and guess what happened, they DIDN'T EVEN TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO FKING SLEEP HERE FOR A FKING WEEK and this is the best part of it i only brought 2 outfit 1 pj and 1 for the day like TF?! The reason the number is high is because we urge people to come forward if they have symptoms or contact with the infected cases. Also, we have tested around 10000 people. Higher than any other ASEAN countries. Simply put, we have less unknown cases compared to other countries. Hopefully those who terlepas balik kampung is all well & healthy and didn't bring the virus to their kampung

after i watched the interview of South Korea foreign minister, Kang Kyung-hwa talks about how the Korea government handle the case, i was impressed by their transparency openness and get many potential candidate tested, they really did a good job and set a very good example for other countries to follow, and the number of new cases reported had also decrease after all these implementation... salute and kudos to the Korea government!

You should see memes related to Malaysia. Anyways, I'm kinda proud of my country, because while there is a change in political parties and prime minister, there has not been a single MASS PROTEST or WAR about it. We just 'lepak mamak' and talk about the current things that going on like it was nothing to be bothered, lol..haha And another thing is, the reason why Malaysian Muslims are not really bothered by the 'religious restriction' things is that we can pray whenever and lead by whomever we prefer/like. It's not like christian whom need a legal priest to lead a mass gathering(sorry I dont know the correct term). It's been a week since my family pray at home lead by my father, sometimes I just pray alone. And we are following the teachings of Muhammad PBUH of the procedure and guideline when there is a pandemic happen, so... it's not a shocking thing for us.

Thank you for doing this coverage. I spend many years studying in the west but this year I am in Malaysia. I am also quite surprised by how efficient Malaysia authorities have been in restricting spread of covid 19 considering we just had a political upheaval. Also I didn’t realise how cooperative relatively we are in terms of banning religious activities compared to South Korea. It is indeed difficult to have the majority of population not attend religious activities weekly but once people are aware of the dangers, they will cooperate. Actually Malaysia has always been in the top 3 in the world for the last 5 years for the best medical services in medical tourism, and been voted as the best health care providers in the world for several times (I know that Malaysia was voted the best last year and the year before that). Of course a specialist filed is a bit different as that depends on which field the research is done. For example I know that Malaysia used to be the top in the world for research regarding throat cancer (though that maybe not the case any more), but lacking in other medical fields.

I am a Malaysian and I just want to share something. You only need to pay RM1 when you visit a government clinic (free for students and elderly people). When you visit a specialist clinic in the hospital, you only need to pay RM5 (free for students and elderly people). High blood pressure's and diabetes' medications are free. If a patient passed away in the hospital while he is receiving treatment, the treatment will be automatically be free of charge. Covid-19 is an infectious disease so the treatment is free of charge. That is why I am so grateful to be a Malaysian 💓 All in all, I really hope that this pandemic will end soon and everybody will stay safe 🥰

Stay safe you all...and all university been closed but i did not make it on time to go home because our home are quiet far and some ticket are sold out...so some student were 'lockdown' at university and stay at their hostel. We were lucky because the university provide us food( my university) i dont know about others.so we cant go out from university for 2 weeks and just stay at our room except when we go out to get our food. We are good at here and hope it will stop fast because i miss my home..

Well , its the same with my University. We also provided with free food for breakfast,lunch and dinner. I think every University already provided with free food today cuz PM said they will gave free food for students that stayed at University

Korea take good measures as well and your economy barely effected compare to malaysia and other countries. But i truly grateful for malaysia government decisions. We can see the number of cases are going steady and not shooting up much. The recovered patients are increasing so much too. For me, I believe health and people’s wellbeing are more important than anything. I hope we can get through this with as lower number of death toll as possible. Not only to malaysia and korea but all other countries that suffering from this disease too. Let all pray for everyone. Stay strong and stay safe. ❤️

Maybe we are not as good as South Korea, at least we will try to be ourselves and follow our own ways, which is what makes Malaysia so special.
