As a filipino with chinese ancestry I can say that, Filipino-Chinese community is so big here more. They are mostly doing business which is my parents also do. And Spanish-Filipino is the elite one here also, but I just only met few of them like some of my classmates in my school and my friend which is filipino with spanish ancestry.

I also have Chinese ancestors. My great grandfather, (my grandpa's father) is pure Chinese. He had a businesses and it was going well, but his children kept robbing the business so it eventually went bankrupt. My grandma, said "we could've been Rich by now if only your grandpa and his siblings had discipline with their father's money" It's... It's very frustrating but what can we do at this point. If only my Great-grandfather taught his grandchildren how to run and start business. Well actually, my uncle has some businesses. And one of his daughter also started some clothing business.
@hmp2483 Жыл бұрын
@@kish9836 actually that's also what happened to my family and it's so dramatic tbh. So here, my dad grandfather is half chinese since they are in like 3rd generation already, his grandfathers siblings use the money and the land for gambling. However, my grandfather is the smart one, he buy the lands and rn we have them and some of them was give to my grandfathers siblings however they didn't use it again in a good way. So, maybe you can start your family legacy again? Like do the initiative and be a wise person and not follow their wrong decision. Tbh, rn me and my brother have both business and my parents taught us to know how to handle money. And maybe, for your next generation you can taught that as well! Actually, on my mother side they are all in chaos lol my grandfather on that side is the owner of some gasoline station and have factories however my grandmother on that side has a big ego and pride bc my grandfather cheated on her like my mom should've been live in a good life bc her grandpa wants her to live with him but my mom grandma cut ties with him, now the mistress is the one who's handling the business💀 Anw, gladly my mom meet my dad💓💓💓

9:30 Actually the term 'Filipinos' from the Spanish colonization era originally referred to full-blood Spaniards born in the Philippines (insulares), while full-blood born in Spain are called Spaniards (peninsulares). The native peoples weren't considered Filipinos because they didn't have Spanish blood (naturales, or indigenous). When the Americans took over in 1898 they referred to everyone in the Philippines as Filipinos.

When I was around 7 or 8 years old, I got lost in SM. My mom went inside BDO to withdraw some money, (honestly forgot what she did there) but I was told to just stay outside BDO. I waited outside but I wondered why she's not coming out yet and it's been like an hour. I mean, there was a lot, like I mean a lot of people that time but... An hour...? So I tried checking inside but couldn't find her. Went back outside and waited again. After like 10 min I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to just try and find her. Went down the escalator roamed on the floor lvl I'm in still couldn't find her. I was nervous at that point. Went back up the escalator and waited outside BDO again. Some people were asking me if I was alright, some guards looking at me. Yk, I could've asked guards there especially the guard in BDO but I was a really shy kid and I didn't want to bother them. Anyway, after what seemed like a year, my mom found me and she was crying. She hugged me and took me on the stairs and she was just crying asking me where I went. I told her I waited for a very long time outside BDO and she said she didn't see me. I was a small kid, and the whole time I was just in a squatting position. She called my dad and I was nervous. She told me she called the main desk (?) and told them that her kid is missing. A guard saw us and ig kind of guarded us. Dad arrived and he was frustrated. He told me where did I go. He was clearly very frustrated. I was lost for 2 hours.
