사실 한국인들이 인도음식에 대해 커리밖에 모를 수 밖에 없는게 한국의 대부분의 인도식당에서 커리, 난, 탄두리치킨 이 세 메뉴가 대부분이라... 가끔가다 치킨 비리야니 파는곳이 있지만.. 다른곳은 모르겠지만 제가 살고있는 서울은 특히 더 그래요. 이태원엔 좀 더 다양한 메뉴가 있다곤 하는데, 한국인들이 쉽게 접할 수 있는 한국의 대표적인 인도음식 프렌차이즈 아그라랑 강가에선 메뉴가 그렇게 다양하지 않아서 그런것도 있습니다. 저도 어릴때부터 인도음식을 좋아해서 인도음식 전문요리점을 자주 갔었는데 대부분의 음식점들이 커리, 난, 탄두리 이 세가지만 파는곳이 대부분이더라고요... 기본적인 짜이도 안 파는곳 많아요

한국인이 해외에 나가면 보통 중국인, 김치, 강남스타일, BTS, 손흥민, 북한 일본인이 해외에 나가면 아마 스시, 애니메이션, AV비디오일텐데 솔직히 한국은 몇년 전까지만 해도 한국을 아는 나라는 거의 없고, 무조건 중국인 소리밖에 못 들었습니다 그리고 어느 순간 김치를 아는 사람들이 생겼고, 외국인 입에서 김치 얘기가 나오면 신나했죠. 드디어 한국에 관련된 걸 아는 사람이 생기는구나. 저는 인도에 대해서 과거의 한국처럼 아무것도 모르는 것보단 하나라도 아는 것이 더 낫다고 생각합니다.
