Ethiopia and Korea naturally have a good relationship after the Korean War. The Kagnew Battilion fought with south korea in over 235 battles and won all of them. my grandfather was a soldier in the korean war , but unfortunately passed. we appreciate you guys, and want to thank you too for helping us financially in ways. we are blood brothers and nothing can change that. It warmed my heart seeing you two enjoy the Ethiopian food. You have prompted me to cook some of the dishes you've eaten. I haven't cooked Injera and the different wats since last year!! Cooking Ethiopian food is very labor intensive, especially if you're starting from scratch, and that involves making the clarified butter and injera. It's all worth it in the end. 😊😋 You had asked about coffee -- You can have a coffee ceremony after the meal if you choose, but not during the meal if you're following Ethiopian tradition. Honestly, do what ever you want, though. I loved that you actually drank Ambo water. I haven't had it for a long time, and I'd have to drive to Chicago to get some. BTW, the injera dish you separated from the rest of the food is actually called Firfir. It's an actual dish with injera shredded up and soaked in a stew or sautéed with other ingredients. You do eat it with plain injera. Good luck to you both! Enjoy food!
