The Korg 01/W is the best-made keyboard of all time. It's a real battle tank, it doesn't break, there are no key defects, and on top of all this it has wonderful sounds that are perfectly usable to this day. I have been the happy owner of a unit for thirty years and I still use it today, and I already have many top keyboards, including Motif XS and I currently have Nord Stage 2EX, and even so I continue to admire this machine and use it in my setup. Long live the Korg 01/W.

You sure? I've literally just seen 4 broken ones for sale with various problems from bad key, unresponsive buttons, dead or dying LCD displays... and much more! 🤣👍.

Gigged with mine for 15 years. Hardly a mark. Recently replaced all the buttons in the pcb and resoldered audio connections; and that’s all was needed.

Wow! 01/Wfd! My 1st pro-synth I've ever touched in a music salon, when I was a teenager. Always 1st in my heart! And these mind blowing "Animotion" and "Death Star" patches - used in Jean Michel Jarre Chronologie part. 5!

Tastiera superba, con sonorità ancora valide e insuperate, molto profonde e larghe. La comprai appena uscita, dopo la M1, le possiedo ancora entrambi. Forse non sono ideali per la ricerca sonora e la sintesi dei suoni, ma ancora adesso ha dei preset splendidi, pronti all'uso e che puoi utilizzare ancora oggi. Il tuo video lo conferma.

Great sounds, awesome playing. So..... I've discovered just recently, that 01W was released after Korg M1. This supposed to be an extension to M1, as M10. But the print label was applied up-side-down by manufacturer's mistake. They never bother correcting it, thetefore it adopted the name 01W and stayed like this today.

Sort of an "M1 on Steroids", this came in different iterations: the original O1/W, the popular 01/W FD (w floppy disk drive for storage), the 76 key 01/W Pro, and the full 88 Key weighted 01/W Pro X monster, with the latter having a full bank of digital piano sounds... There were also the rack mount 01R/W and 03R/W modules as well... Each one of these continued where the M1 left off, and were favorites of many professionals!

I bought one of these in 1996 to use specifically for live performance. Nothing sequenced at all. A38 Velo City was a great patch / Combi.

have you tried a factory reset? If I remember right, all the sounds are pre-saved into the instrument. If this is not possibile you have to find on some website a .sysex file with the Factory Data
