内蔵FXがなかった為、発売当時は本来のポテンシャルを理解してもらえなかった不遇の機種。 発売の翌年（1988年）に半額で叩き売られていたのを覚えています。この動画のように外部 FX(特にリバーブとコーラス)をかければ、今でも充分に使えるFM音源シンセの一つだと感じ ました。ちなみにベロシティ＆アフタータッチ対応なのでMIDIキーボードとして永らく愛用 している方がいたのを思い出しました。

Everytime Master Ujiie presents a synth I go: "Yep, I want want one". Or in this case: "yep, I need to dig this one out" - cos I bought it 2 decades ago as my computer midi keyboard - at the time there weren't that many options for under 49 keys desktop controllers and no one else was bidding on it. These days I find myself reaching more for synthesizers again, especially after a demo like this! 😄

I second that sentiment. What an interesting and pleasing set of tones? And the manner in which they are achieved is charming and uncomplicated. The fact that one may treat it as a fashion accoutrement really makes this gem transcendent

Korg 707 was one of the first synths I got oddly enough. Super fun to mess with, the sliders make a huge difference

同じ４オペのDX100を持ってました。使い勝手としてはこちらの方がかなり良さそうですね。逆に実用的すぎてマニアにはウケなかったのかも。

এই কিবোর্ড একটা আমার বাবার ছিল। ওতে কতগুলো সাউন্ডকার্ড ভরতে হয়।টোনব্যাঙ্ক হিসেবে। ওরকম একটা সাউন্ড কার্ডের নাম voice of Tokyo. ওটাই অবজেক্ট।

Absolutely one of the worst synths I’ve ever had (I still have one sitting in my parents attic somewhere) It’s not real 4 op like any DX series. It’s a strange variant that doesn’t give you the full edit features. The guitar strap knobs are cute, it can make some limited fm bells and EPs, but even Ueji here is having trouble coaxing anything good out of it. The new korg fm is a better value

Because of the looks, I hoped it were a decent PCM synth. But sadly it's the worst sounding FM synth ever.
