people always debate on gear.. wake up people. all u need is to practice to sound good. the gear is number 2. but the number one is u need to practice. a good piAnist will make the cheap keybord sound good
@ShanMichaelEscasio9 жыл бұрын
+nestor pascual spot on mate.:D i own a kross and i'm a pianist/keyboardist.:D just tweak the sound a bit, combine with your playing (make sure it's good tho. lol) and your synth will sound good.:D
@looneyburgmusic9 жыл бұрын
+nestor pascual That's right and wrong at the same time... I don't care how good someone gets playing, a $50 synth will never sound as good as a $3000 synth. That is just the way it is... If you are talking about the difference between a $1000 keyboard, and a $3000 one, then you have a point... I can make any of my 90's synths sound just a good as a brand new "Flagship" - But that is because I not only practice, I know them all inside and out... :-)

Most brands update their products around every 3 years, the Krome is now 3 yrs old. I'm hoping amongst a few update changes in the Krome, Korg will include audio recording just like the Kross along with audio line in. I'm hoping this update is just around the corner whilst I'm holding out to buy the 88 key version currently have the 61.

Looks and sounds great. I only wish that Korg would start putting audio interfaces in their keyboards like most of the Yamaha Motif based synths. It really makes working with a DAW much easier. But that is really my only complaint. Sounds excellent and the price is fair.

alright i will get in touch with you tomorrow, because a lot of people are saying that mox is better and it has motif XS engine, but i heard that in krome you can create your own sounds, i just have few questions more and they all kind of same but i want to make sure , because i want to buy one this ASAP.
@kaylaparker13196 жыл бұрын
I had the MOX, and I wouldn't recommend it. There's no touch screen, so you have to push a million buttons to get to anything, and it's really difficult to figure out. Not intuitive at all. I would definitely go with the Krome. No contest.

Just to clarify something about the MOX. It has sounds "based" on those of the XS but these are NOT XS sounds. Yamaha like to big it up about the "XS Engine" but this doesn't pan out in reality. I had the XS and MOX and was not impressed with either. I would take the Krome any day over either of them.

How does the keybed on Krome compare to the M50's? I'm looking to replace my old M50 with a 73 key Krome, but the only one I've found to test out was an 88 key model. The keybed isn't a deal-breaker but I'd at least like ones that are more like the Kronos 61's and less like the M50's.

Just a few tiny question from a potential swedish buyer. Does Krome feature the same set structure as Kronox has? Does the Krome has any other synthesizer onboard like the Kronox has?

i love this keyboard and seems to me like an awesome instrument, my fear is, i won"t be able to take full advantage of all the features this keyboard has to offer. i recently sold a yamaha keyboard which i got tired of and got desinterested of. Can anyone tell me, is this instrument easier to set up and use, according to your experience with it?
@steevee19458 жыл бұрын
Since it seems you got no answers to your questions, allow me..... Typically, no player ever uses everything in one of these instruments. If you have a home recording studio, you will likely use more features than a live performer. Or maybe not. One reason you got rid of your Yamaha is because of its awful user interface. The touchscreen interface of this keyboard makes all of the features much more easy to access and use. I just bought one yesterday. Can't wait to get it and play.

I have few queries related to sampling & Midi.First of all is there any possibility to play Mp3 or wave file directly on Krome or on a sequencer mode.2) Why Midi files don't sound properly after rendering out as it sounds properly while recording software tracks on any DAW. I mean what's the use of midi files when am unable to get the proper sounds as we hear during the recoding of any midi track on a Daw like Logic pro but when I export to .midi files the sound gets muffled then what's the use of midi when am unable to store my Midi backing track using software instruments which is same as midi only on Logic pro. 3) Is it possible to play the Wave or mp3 format of loop on Krome. Pl help us out will grateful to you.

I'm thinking about buying the krome. I currently have the korg microstation, but I need something with normal size keys for live performance. I'm just wondering if the sounds are very similar if not exactly the same as the microstation??
@carlosbell11329 жыл бұрын
they're not, i own a Krome since january and its more like a m3 with better Sound quality and some Kronos Sounds and much much more processor Power so you can layer 16 Sounds, a fine Sequenzer and (in my opinion) A supreme effect section. I am a guy Who really likes to buy Tons of Gear but i didn't find anything i'd buy since i have the Krome. Was thinking about an analog synthesizer like a moog or the korg minibrute but i After using a moog voyager on a gig and not finding any benefits except for the usability for synths in particular i don't find any reason, the Sound quality was similar on a live Situation and our Studio has all sorts of synths so i don't Need to buy them

Nope. You need to connect it to your own speakers, which is kinda good since often those onboard ain't that good.

Sampling functionality on a $1,000 Korg workstation?Are you serious?It's so patently absurd that so many people out there expect $3,000 worth of features in a keyboard that cost a grand. As it is,the Krome offers much more than any other workstation out there for the price. If you had bothered to visit Korg's website,or to watch any of Korg USA's tutorial videos,you would find out everything you need to know & you wouldn't be asking silly questions such as this. Try doing some research.

Rich - you're saying "octave up and down buttons". It's not entirely true - those are programmable switches and they not always in "octave up / down" mode. Quite a disadvantage for a 61 version. There is some more bugs in current version of operating system - one that I remember from the top of my head: when you've got your Krome connected via USB to your PC and try to record in internal sequencer after 2 bars of metronome pre tick the first one when you start recording is out of sync.

How can u not like the mox. That's like saying u don't like apple pie. I think us being silly. If u can't hear that the mox is a great board then there's something seriously wrong with ur hearing. I have both boards and they are both very good boards. However the mox stands out as Yamaha make great boards. So please don't say that the mox or xs are not impressive. That is an insult to a couple of great boards. Anyways why don't u check and see how many pros use the xs or xf and they are plenty
