Excellent review. My favourite guitar multi-fx pedal. I bought mine new some years ago and still my go to unit for great guitar tones. Really easy to edit and intuitive to use too. Plus you can download thousands of different patch presets for different songs and styles to transfer via midi and they all sound really good. Well done on a well presented review of a top fx unit.

Thanks Nigel, I've been trying out a new camera lately and I seem to be getting a lot of focus problems. Price definitely doesn't correlate with suitability when it comes to cameras and KZbin... But back on topic, yes I think this is a really interesting pedal with some great features, and the workflow is just so easy. Thanks for watching Gearfacts :)

Hi Gear! I finally have an AX3000G since a few days, and it was easy to configure the major part. I've noticed some limitations in comparison to other multieffects that i have, a Boss GT5, like changing the order of the effects (may be there is a way?), and not all the parameters can be assigned to the control footswitch, or the lack of momentary footswitch which is a shame. But the step sequencer is fantastic, and the synth for videogame sounds is really good. Just only for that is awesome, but at least it has some few more glitch sounds that makes it great, even not being able to do all the parameter assigns.
@gearfacts3 ай бұрын
Yeah I"m not aware of any way to change the effect order, but there's not doubt that it's original and very fun. Thanks for your comments!

I use one of these and am shocked that Korg didn't put a drive or boost on the unit. It would be a good live tool if it had those. Tons of weird effects that most purchasers would never use. I do like the unit but it lacks a few standard features. Amp and cab sims are pretty good.

No brand gets a better filter wah effect. When I was a teenager I used the AX1500 - clearly the tech is old / dated compared to Helix etc... but if Korg brought out another newer tech version of this I'd be all over it.

Great review, i still own and play with an old ax300g (also nicely reviewed btw), back in the day i used to play death thrash metal, now i'm more into postrock, electronic-experimental, avant-noise, and i was thinking in getting this one to expand my search in sound weirdness, would you recommend it? or any other (cheap) one?, thanx
@gearfacts6 жыл бұрын
Actaully I preferred the old AX300G. That pedal is wonderful. The 3000G seemed a little bit moody (in a bad way) to me. If you want to go more modern than the 300G then maybe look for a Line 6 PODxt? They are brilliant and I think the sound would suit what you're looking for. I've reviewed it a couple of times + a tutorial. I think you'd like it :) Gearfacts
@gothicofficial57666 жыл бұрын
Thanx for your reply, indeed the ax300g is really good, and about the line 6 one i was checking some vids and i'm aiming more for the pod hd300 or 400, i just found out you reviewed that one too and that convinced me regarding the modulation weirdness exploration i can get out of it, greetings from Mexico City

teh pedal lights are actually functional, specially for pitch transposition and or just how much effect you want to add, its ancie touch you can watch the light and say sounds good up to 5th light that's it, or for pitch transposing you can say like first light is a half step, 3rd is a full so on so forth so very handy in that case, this one is very well thought out, and my guess is there are functions one may never find that builders put in like gamers do.. yea very nice doesn't sound to bad either for practice someo recordable stuff.. never heard anything about it in the day.. but there was so much gear back then, when they actually made so much right here in the good ol' US of A.... remember Digitech? Harmon? Keely,HArtman, so many, then all your boutique stuff, we need to get that back, stop funding these freeks who just want violence and terror.. get on with making music again like we used to do for the freeks took over..

Hello, I had this one, and due to economic reasons, I was considering getting it again, although, a friend made me realize that this device compressed the sound of my guitar. I have a Roland Cube 40 LX. What are your thoughts on that, Do you reccomend this one better than Digitech GNX for instance? I used to like it, but this MF got inside my mind and I sold it. The roland has effects but I do not have the footswtches and they are expensive.
@gearfacts4 жыл бұрын
I think the GNX is very smooth and 'real' sounding, but the Korg is more versatile and a little bit more crazy. So it depends on your style :) #gearfacts

@gearfacts5 жыл бұрын
In my personal opinion, this unit has never compared all that well to other multi effects units. It's strange becasue its little cousin, the AX5G, sounds awesome for such a low price. I couldn't get anywhere near as much feel from the AX3000G. My favourites (and I've tried pretty much all of them!) are the Zoom 3030 (very old), the Boss GT-6 (also pretty old) and the Digitech RP360. Thanks for watching Gearfacts :)
