Korg Gadgets AUV3 in Logic, this is HUGE

Korg has released a major update for Gadget on iPad which allows almost every gadget to be used as an AUV3 plugin in other apps. This week I'm making a track demoing gadgets as plugins in Logic Pro along with other AUV3 sounds and native Logic sounds too.

I like the idea of the Korg Gadgets. It’s easy to get stuck right into making music and laying down ideas in a virtual groovebox type environment

Often Gadget is my go to when I go to just create without wasting time. Like when I hop on a train, there is about 45 min to an hour between common destinations, and its perfect. I got tue samples I use as my core sound structures of my various projects right there , and with the SP404 mk2 direct connections , I am in bliss. But THIS. THIS IS HUGE!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I somehow missed this. Korg Gadgets AUV3 gives Logic on iPad something that I don't have on Mac.I've always liked the gadgets, but never really had a productive use for them until now.

I'm really enjoying the updates...both gadget 3 and AUv3. Also wound up buying the vst/au for mac, that export to ableton vst is so much easier than adding my other vst / au in ableton after export to ableton midi. only issue is too many options now lol

Cubasis lists the AUs by their name. That’s messy too if you have a thousand synths. A sort, search or drop downs would be ideal Edit: the Logic update improved the AU scaling tremendously

According to the Korg website, by purchasing the Korg gadget 3 for $39.95, I get 20 modules out of the 45 available. My question is: How much will it cost me to be able to obtain all 45 modules?

Sounds pretty good on iPad. But when the plugins first came out for the Mac I tried a couple and thought they sounded a little one-dimensional. Maybe they've improved?

Honest answer is I think in the sea of desktop music apps, more gadget is not quite at the level of the big players. On iPad where NI and Arturia and others aren’t present in the same way, gadget sounds better by their absence

Doing it through AUM is a PITA, but it brings loads of external processing options, so even if, I’ll still do it through AUM. Hell, I’ll even run gadgets through AUM now even when using Gadget.

i just don't like it cause most new features need the iap and those have iap so if ya add it all up i couldn't even figure out the price 200-300$ idk

Still too little, too late. For whatever reason, M1, Wavestation and MonoPoly do not show up as AUv3 plugins in other hosts even through they are in Gadget. I’ve honestly given up on iPad music production - too many gotchas.

Hello. I have an issue. Everytime i load the song in logic pro, the auv3 gadget reset it's settings. 😢

@@DylanParisMusic I noticed why this hapenned. For the settings to be saved, i must close the file (blue back arrow on top left) prior to close the app. :) What a relief!
