I have used it for all kinds of gigs..jazz funk country r&b and ot works. Additionally in the studio l give it a 10 as the patches fit in a mix flawlessly I am 76 yr old and play 3 gigs more it less a week... Carry with 1 hand..and go!

I rather liked how natural you were while presenting this video, absolutely well humoured, along with some great fun playing there. Thx for that, even made me smile. Yeah, been looking at the finishing touch for my home studio. Some of those keyboards out there are crazy expensive! I've looked at the Yamaha PSR ew410, the Korg EK-50, and this Korg i3 workstation... Out of the 20 some odd keyboard units I've seen , these three seem to be a good a idea. But incrediblely enough, in your video, Where you basically (just spoke) about all the neat things this i3 can do, over the different sounds you where demoing is what caught my eye. Great sounds for sure!! I mean, it's the very first thing one wants to hear when unboxing such a little beast! Right? So apart from all that it can do, what sold be is the different sounds you went through, and how they sounded, in that room. Most when preparing a video like this would wire the whole setup to have everything come out to extreme measures to get that perfect sound. What was crazy was that it seemed like you just walked into the shop room, plugged in to whatever sound source available there, sat down and away you went! Great presentation mate, also loved the giggles and natural wonderment you showed when presenting. It seemed as if you yourself believed in the amazement.

I still don't understand why Korg named it I3 etc. Every time I see it now, it brings me back to the amazing M1/I2/I3/I4s Interactive Music Workstation. And it makes me sad!! What a wonderful machine was that. Everything programmable, Everything. and the arrangements... no words...

Hi, I’m a lounge pianist from a small island nowadays quite famous called Funchal… Because of that, being a island access new material and new keyboard is still very difficult… Returning to reason of this message, being a professional musician I once in a while a need to attend bigger party with two singers, for that I use my own arrangements, for many reasons, budget and all, I make them in Midi files, I normally use my own old vintage keyboard Korg IS40, it’s sound very good but it’s very heavy and difficult to transport, and also I not getting any younger… For a while I looked up for portable midi players - Okyweb 4 and others but there are very expensive… Korg weight makes it very portable… The question is, does it play’s Midi files while I play along piano?… and does its sound any good, off course I know it’s GM2 sounds, but Korg IS40 has one of the best quality GM Sound in the market… Concerning access… Is it easy to access the files on the keyboard?… Does it loads fast from the USB pen drive our it’s better to save it first on the Korg I3 memory bank to make it reasonable fast to the file start playing?… If possible I could send you one our two of my own arrangements for You to try it and check up the sound?… Best regards from Funchal…

I've been researching lots of keyboards and was initially drawn to I3 Korg. However no one ever tells the full story that this model does NOT have any inbuilt speakers. Sadly as good as it looks my choice not to purchase is purely down to this item having no sound ( literally ).
