Gives a whole new meaning to "you can't take it with you". Great insight as always Chuck. Regards, Tim (aka SanDiego)

Chuck your thoughts are invaluable and are much appreciated!This is why investing in sampled libraries,put onto laptops,run through kontakt,uvi and mainstage with a pro soundcard are the way forward...you cant beat the versatility of using those libraries in any combination provided your laptop is full specked out...its disappointing that Korg has done this so beyond the normal OS updates etc. for my Kronos its best never to purchase sound libraries from them....

Learn from products that have specific license themes like Adobe Photoshop, if I sell my computer and want to move my software to a new computer In Photoshop I de-license the software, this sends a notification to support that the software is not licensed, on i am later able to install on the new computer. Kronos needs to fix this.

info in this video is incorrect!! i sold my kronos x to buy a kronos 2. contacted korg, they told me how to remove my EXs and they deauthorized that ID and sent me a new authorization for the new workstation. so you can "take it with you".

You got my curiosity going & I started perusing the Korg site. I am wondering about the RAM capacity since simply adding a piano requires 3GB(seems to have only 2GB available on this & the KronosX?) then you have to unload other sounds to use it. Like the M3 it has limitations, only I would at least like to be able to add the best piano on top of a Combi if I need it ! Is that possible?

Bob Gomez RAM of 2 Gb is one thing... the Kronos has 62 Gb SSD memory, and all instruments stream from that memory seamlessly into the RAM. You don't need to unload or uninstall anything unless you're running out of room on the 62 Gb of SSD memory.

PianoManChuck Ok that is reassuring.

Thank you for making these videos on the new kronos.... I might consider the upgrade since my original kronos it's still in original state. I just wonder if the new one would have a faster boot time and is a newer motherboard. Maybe it would take more than 3gb of ram in the future

Good rap Chuck. Don't you think the corporate peeps already thought this out? Getting more upfront bang for their buck.? So Tech stuff is forced upon consumers so fast, that they don't take the time to think. I checked out the Krome 88 and the Kronos 88. Big difference as expected. Then it dawned on me.???? How much of this new stuff do I really need???? Didn't I buy my Triton Extreme 76 workstation to create/sample and deep edit my own sounds???? The Extreme was paid for in 2004 and still works flawlessly. I won't bite the corporate bait this time....I'll just swim away....Thanks Chuck.

Thanks for uploading this video. It has been very useful for me. I just have one question you might know the answer. I have a Korg Kronos and I am thinking to upgrade to the Kronos 2, but I have a lot of personal combis,programs and setlists I made for my live performing. Will I be able to take that with me (via usb) to the new Kronos 2? Thanks again and keep up with this useful videos

JuanCarlos Escudero Since I don't actually have a Kronos 2 here to test that.... check the Kronos forums over at www.korgforums.com

You can't uninstall ?Then, re-apply your software lic to the new Kronos?
@PianoManChuck6 жыл бұрын
You need your unique "machine ID" during purchase.... that makes the software work only on that one machine.
