Korg Kronos VS Montage Rhodes

Whoever say the Montage doesn`t know what a Rhodes suppose to sound like. The Kronos is a beast and I figured that from the motif era. Those Rhodes in the Kronos are phat and got character behind it. The Montag first preset has got depth but lost when he played on the high end or bass but in the mid range very deep. The Kronos for Rhodes piano for Montage. If only I could put certain sound of the Korg Kronos, Ronald Fantom, Triton in my MODX 8 I wouldn`t by another keyboard lol.

i briefly owned a MODX the eps and pianos were quite the dissapointment . no body and the strings all had excessive vibrato

Keyboardists have said that no two Rhodes sound exactly the same. I think the same applies here. To my ears, the Montage sounds grittier and the Kronos sounds more warm - more "round". I prefer the Kronos Rhodes sounds.

Both boards have there on unique quality and sound and they both can be tweaked for the sound that best suites you I have owned the kronos currently using the montage

The Montage is a bit brighter and more metallic than the Kronos, and I prefer the more subtle Montage phaser. But, honestly, both are pretty good and would be fine for any song.

lo que pasa que en montage suena como con algun efecto de amplificador suena sin medios en el kronos el sonido suena mas puro pero eso se puede arreglar en el montage ecualizandolo subiendo los medios

my own real Rhodes MkI sounded completely different. It was old and broken. i sold it.

Kronos has more life to it and a bit of the metallic hi end that we all know and love

yamaha seem incapable of doing a warm, fat rhodes, and they never figured out how to prevent nasty velocity switches. ever noticed how motif rhodes sounds are awash with reverb and other fx? that's because their samples are so thin. it's a shame. thx for the demo, kronos ftw.

Somebody made sure to disconsider Montage. All those videos-comparisons between Montage and Kronos show Kronos as super powerful sounding keyboard and Montage as little baby sounding instrument, which is so far from true in practice.

i think for deep instrument for creative people its kurzweil , but i have kronos and kurz forte too , otherwise both great machines. Before i had yamahas for 13 years , never more....
