Hi Frank, I own the Pa4x and know that it is impossible to explain all features of this keyboard in an houre. The demo wasn't very successful to me, because much topics where not explain in a correct way as I would, like for example the Bass Inversion, the pads, etc. I hope you have reach a few people that are interested in the awesome things you can do with this instrument. If I may, I would advise to see the songs played by @Alois Müller on KZbin. This German guy is an expert on all de Korg Pa iinstruments. A minor point is he speaks German (he understands English), but the main thing is learn to know the Korg keyboard. Keep up making those great instruments, Luc

Hi, got couple of questions and need your help please: Can I connect an additional MIDI keyboard to my Pa4X to work as second key, how I can control this? How I can choose what sound to play on the other key? Can the Oriental notes be transmitted/controlled as well? How I can connect both to the mixer, individually or only Pa4X will play both sounds?

Is it possible to set up a Songbook Entry for a song, say, My Girl, where the Keyboard Sets associated with Variations 1, 2 and 3 are "written" at Transpose-0, and the Keyboard Set for Variation 4 is "written" at Transpose-Up 2? I'd like to be able to automatically transpose up 1 or 2 notes, for example, when I go from Variation 3 to Variation 4. Can this be done on the pa4x?

What's "soon" for you? weeks? months? ... We will know something before the end of January, maybe at the NAMM event (www.namm.org/) ... if Korg doesn't announce anything there, I wouldn't expect the new substitute to arrive before mid 2021.

Hi Ahmad -- I am not sure of the regular model -- as I own the Oriental PA4X. It does have Arabic mode. Although the keyboard says Oriental, it actually middle eastern. There are a quite a few ethnic instruments and styles though. I am not 100% sure of quarter tones.

Question : Maybe I'm wrong, and I want to test this conclusion : One of the big differences between Korg Arrangers and Korg Workstations is on the Style Orchestration Key Follow ... vs ... Arpeggiator Key Follow. What I mean is : As I've tested in the shop, the style on the Arrangers, including PA 4X, doesn't go beyond ONE octave. Even if I change the "Wrap Around" setting. Meaning : the keys on the far left won't generate a 2 octaves down bass for ex. , or a 2 octaves higher bass - or other instruments - on the upper keys of the Style area. By comparison, MY KROME'S ARPEGGIATORS CAN REALLY DO THAT ! ... So, my compositions on the Krome are much more personalized and accurate. Is this true, or maybe I'm wrong ?

I am guessing you are asking if... in style mode you were to a play a simple C G F C, the chord fingering you are using goes down on the scale, will the bass adjust to it? You are right, it does not adjust -- but that is limited to the bass when playing style mode; and that is true regardless of whether you play normal, or use bass inversion.

Hello. Thanks and great vid. Sorry I missed the live broadcast cause I got many questions. I've owned my PA4X going on two years and sadly disappointed at my understanding of it. I played my Roland G70 for years and find it easier and much cleaner sounding, meaning when I try playing my songs on they Korg, the chords at time are off as if I'm playing a different key. Tried to get answers from Korg but to no avail. Are you planning on doing another broadcast? Thanks

You can definitely record the audio into a DAW -- as audio. If you are asking if you can pull the samples into a DAW -- not without violating some serious EULA and/or copyright infringement -- and even then, I am not sure you can actually do so.

Yes, you can go into style mode, and 1. adjust the existing styles (sounds) to your liking, or 2. copy existing styles as new and edit those, or 3. create your own styles from scratch.

Waste of time. Frank likes to play. Skips over "how to" Help me understand this. Since the PA4x isn't a simple instrument to operate and being an arranger why not show us owners how to accomplish things like sequencing, midi information, etc. instead of an overview. We have the instrument at our fingertips. Help our fingertips work it to get our money's worth. Respectfully!

I agree, he doesn't have a script or a solid idea of what he wants to present; feels very amateurish. I'm sure he's a nice guy but why press the same button multiple times as if it's going to do something different? It feels like he's only been with Korg a few months and not really solid on how the PA4x works in depth. :(

Jan Hietbrink ...and this is the same thing, only for adults. Korg makes some great synths and whatnot. I rather doubt this is one of them. I would be very surprised if anything interesting is ever produced with this particular instrument. If you are the designer of this keyboard I apologize if I offended you.
