I just heard a demo of a Korg Kross 2 before this video. What a difference in sound quality! The Kross 2 may have all the modern samples, but the cheap hardware makes it sound thin and cheap. Here, with the fullblown M3 you hear what good hardware does to the sound quality.

I do love my M3 but I mainly use it as a master keyboard these days. Much prefer dedicated hardware synth surfaces or soft synths. Still, a good workstation is a great center piece for a studio or live rig and the M3 has great sounds! Great demo.

@@solomonjenkins9505 : Sorry, not really - I do everything through Ableton Live and use that to split midi up. However, I haven't used it but I believe the mixer faders can be used to control volume and mute external synths, so perhaps that would help?

Out of all the keyboards korg has ever released, I feel the m3 has a horrible body design. Great keyboard and great sounds don’t get me wrong. But cosmetically it just looks weird to me.
@DKS-SYNTH-LAB4 жыл бұрын
Yep, very strange design, but the great advantage is the modularity
@MrTownsend4 жыл бұрын
@@DKS-SYNTH-LAB Wished they continued with the modularity route, and made it a little more interchangeable with some new additional synths. I have an 88 key M3 and when you put both the Radias and M3, there's still this empty space that could be used for some kind of external effects. My hope is with the rise of modularity they bring the concept back in their next incarnation for workstations
@phillipepinesh53434 жыл бұрын
Compared to all today plastic keyboards I think you are wrong. The whole body is made in aluminum, is special a very thick and good looking sides and bottom for structural rigidity. maybe you don't like the body design because you don't have a 73 keybed with the Radias attached haha!!.
