KORG Module Pro (KORG Module v3): New Features

I bought Korg Module and Gadget both maxed out with every In-App purchase however I don't care for Gadget's work flow so both apps just take up space and never get used, although they do sound great. The time has come for AUv3 support!

I agree. If they added AUv3 support for Module I would snap it up today. I imagine Korg want people to be using Gadget as their DAW of choice so I suspect they will be reluctant to add AUv3 support as it may cannibalise sales of Gadget if Garageband can be used instead for example.

I’m not a keyboard player. Bought this app plus expansion to use live with my aerophone wind instrument. I use the synths, organ, brass/woodwinds sounds. Sounds are great. Because of health conditions had to make switch from my cherished saxophones to wind instrument. Korg module and aerophone has made transition smooth. Performing twice weekly. Thanks Korg.

yeah have to join the haters, 27.99 CAD for an expansion pack that provides basic midi functions that should be standard anyways, no thanks. listen to customers and reduce the price at least.

For this price you can get Korg Gadget when it is on sale. That way, you can layer and learn *and* add other sounds and effects. No splits though or velocity layers. But all in all this expansion seems like a very expensive option, aimed at a very narrow market (don't want gadget, plays with app instead of hardware). Not impressed. Give us AUv3 on all apps please.

This should have been included in the pro upgrade for free, but OK... tack on a charge but make it $9.99. I am glad the masses of fans and owners like myself are aware what is happening, the marketing geniuses probably said do the upgrade to Korg Module Pro for FREE but add the price for it in the Performance Expansion add in and sell it for $40, but sell it for $20 for a limited time only. This is what you do to turn off your fans and like myself start looking at competitors a bit more generous than Korg.

I suspect AUv3 support has not yet been added so people are essentially forced to use Gadget if they want an all round DAW package on iPad. I love Gadget but I personally prefer using GarageBand so if Module was given AUv3 support for expanding my sound set within GarageBand, it would be a no-brainer for me.

Get Gadget instead of this expansion. It layers too. If your master keyboard supports splits, or you get two microkeys, thing will be dandy. And the Madrid gadget, or one of the many samplers.

Picked mine up over the weekend. Big issue for me is the rapid battery drain on my iPad. Is there a way to turn off the module? I run other apps so don’t need it running constantly.

Got myself a miniloguexd and was pleasantly surprised to get your software bundle as well. But then came the BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, when i realized that many programs this Bundle contains is apple only software. Please do better in the future Korg! (btw miniloguexd is an awesome synth)

y question is... Can I be able to assign difrent midi channel to difrent songs? for example: have E. piano on channel one, Brass on channel 2 Synth on channel 3 ect. so if I want to change sounds I just do it on mi midi controller without touching the app?

There is a problem with he Kotopsichord app, at the very high end in pitch some notes drop in pitch and dont have a thing to do wih the koto sound. How do we contact Korg?

I just got Korg module pro w Scarbee pianos, layers, and Triton and a new iPad 5mini 256gb 64bit On the MIDI CC page the CC numbers are written over the effect it will change so that it is unreadable. Anyone know anything about that or how to fix?

I bought the app and the performance package almost a $40 investment and then I see that I can only layer 2 sound. With Sample tank I can leyer up to 8 sounds. I perfect app will be Korg module sounds quality with the Sampletank Live performance features.

I'm considering Korg AU3 pro. I just don't know much about it. I don't use any Daw yet. Just experimented with a few. Anyway, I wanted to ask about the purchase i.e... Do I have to purchase and download each version starting with gadget or do I just purchase the latest version? I definitely want to use real instruments with it. I only have a new ipad and not a MAC. Can I even use it as a Daw on ipad? I have Windows 10, so I guess It would take an app and/or a driver to communicate with Ipad ? I 'd prefer using ipad for all I can and dedicate it to this daw if that's even possible? I'm not so computer savvy. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. And what's the deal with the pa700 and pa1000, are they going to hold firm on price since the synth market has just been polluted buy Roland and many other companies. I can't rap my head around what to buy. Hoping to get the pa1000, if the price sways down a little. I've been a Korg fan for along time. It would be great to make my 1rst and only DAW a Korg. And, the pa1000 would complete my hardware. "Support" is mentioned a lot in the comments and I know I'll be needing it! Can't imagine a Pro company without support.

Ok, what I don't see is how they are getting audio out. I bought a Korg D1, which I think is fantastic, so w/ Midi out/in I bought the module pro and a legacy midi to USB adapter along w/ an apple usb camera to lightening adapter. I'm thinking use the D1 as a controller and the module.....as a module.....right??? Well no. The damn module does not return midi.....only audio. What a total waste of time and money. To get audio to my mixer I need another adapter that can route the iPhone audio while the lightening port is being used. The way the module works needs to be clearly spelled out.

All the sounds you're hearing come from the iPad. You can purchase an audio interface that is compatible with an iPad which will allow you to send the sound to any speakers of your choice. The red box on the right is the Focusrite 2i4 which acts as the audio interface. You do not have to use this product but it is an option. You will need the right Apple adapter too for this to work. A great and affordable option for iPad musicians is the Korg plugKEY: www.korg.com/uk/products/computergear/plugkey/ You must make sure beforehand that you know which iPad you have or plan to buy so you can buy any adapters if necessary. You can use any keyboard you like as long as it has a 'MIDI OUT' jack on the back of it. Hope that helps you! :-)

Korg Module Pro is paid app and should also icluded that basic features. It is shame that app which have "Pro" in the title want to grab extra money for basic features. I do not know why so great company as Korg doing that kind of awful things to their users :(

Don’t spend any money on Korg module until you’re sure your iPad/iPhone is 64bit. This will ditch 32bit support, so anything over two years old will be affected. Correct if wrong, please.

The Korg Module sounds are among the best available for iPad. BUT: the iOS integration is on the LOWEST, BADEST and LEAST USEABLE level of interapp audio. This takes most of the fun from using the app in sequencer apps like Cubasis. It is simply whack from my view to add all the nice sounds, without finally fixing this unbearable, lousy third class integration status, which has not been fixed in years, to AUv3 support!
