Anders1236 How have you been enjoying it? Mine is on its way to me, and I can’t wait to jump in with it!
@Anders12364 жыл бұрын
ackamack101 Cool! Well, to me, not being a musician or even trained in playing a keyboard, I use it mainly to experiment with, and I often come back to this video to repeat and learn again. I just like to fiddle around and create different sounds and try things out, and to me that’s great fun and relaxation. I find it powerful as to what it can do in such a compact and handy design. So basically, it’s been ALL fun so far. I can’t imagine what you could create with such a little thing if you actually have a little bit more experience (than me) and skills playing the keys more musically. But I’m learning! I’m sure you’ll love yours. 👍🏼

Anders1236 I agree with what you said. I just got mine today and have been going through the first few videos. I don’t know what I would have done without them! I have always wanted to learn analog synthesizer and I think this little guy is a great place to start. It sure can do a lot for being so small! Likewise I got this to play around with and see what kind of cool sounds I can make. It is a lot of fun!

A couple of years ago, I bought this as my first ever analog synthesizer as well. I've since sold it and owned a lot of other (more expensive) synths, both digital and analog, but I've started to come full circle and crave for the Monologue again. It's such a cool synth!

Picked up one of these on ebay recently. It's in perfect physical condition, but I'm having some problems getting sound out of it when playing live keys. I hope there's nothing wrong with the internals, and I'm just missing some setting or don't have it in the right mode or something like that. The first thing I did when I got it was factory reset it. The preset sequences sound fine. The knobs and dials works as they should in effecting the audio. But, when playing the keys as if performing live, I get no sound. I follow your video here (applicable section is :40 - :55), but mine doesn't seem to act the same way yours does. I press the EDIT MODE button, then press the sequencer button that is the one second from the right that's flashing which brings up the 'Init Program Execute..?' display, then turn the PROGRAM VALUE knob one detent to the right so it says 'Press WRITE', then I press the WRITE button. The little LCD screen says INITIALIZED for about one second. So far, this is exactly as in your video. But it is here where mine deviates. In your video, your LCD screen goes to a flat line, and you say that the default shape is a triangle wave, and you press a key, and we hear the sound and the LCD screen shows that triangle wave sound. My LCD screen doesn't go to a flat line. It goes back one step to the 'Init Program Execute..?' display. The EDIT MODE button is still lit red, those five sequencer step buttons are lit (steps 5 through 9), step 11 is flashing and step 12 is solid red. So essentially, when you hit WRITE in this process, the synth goes into an active mode where you play notes and those notes sound. On mine, when I hit WRITE, it just goes back a step and I can't find any way to get it into that active mode. Any suggestions?
