Pro tip: Step 1 - send midi from monologue to volca bass Step 2 - send audio from monologue to R channel Step 3 - send audio from volca bass to L channel or just both stereo, Step 4 - play around with your new epic sounding 5 voice synth (Even more voices than minilogue!)

thanks for this video series. can you explain how custom microtonal scales are programed on monologue ? note by note ? on cent basis ? shortly how ?
@pyrofiliac8 жыл бұрын
You select which notes you want to change in the scale and then use a knob to adjust them up by cents or down.

so fun just to pick a factory preset, then just mess with the motion sequencers. create crazy glitches so much fun. I forgot i had a daw and vst.

question : is there some way to get more steps, or more notes into the sequencer .Say , 32 steps ( or notes for that matter ) Also, is there a kind of arpeggiator on this Monologue ??
@myousickoflife6 жыл бұрын
Its a stripped down analog synth with a basic sequencer which is more than worth the retail price tag. I hooked it up to my Roland synth via midi and used the arpeggiator from that it worked perfectly, also sounds pretty amazing paired with the Korg KP3. I'm sure you can hook it up to any external sequencer without any problems.
@New_Zealand_Music3 жыл бұрын
Yes use an external sequencer 😉

@savanaviolenta8 жыл бұрын
That's not a problem for me,cause I will run it trough TC Electronic Mimiq doubler and will turn it immediately into stereo synth ;) .

T.I.N Mateus are you sure you know the difference between mono and poly synths? :)
@savanaviolenta8 жыл бұрын
Did you read my post?I said that I run a mono synth into a doubler pedal which automatic turns it into a stereo one.Yeah I know the differences.

Can you adjust the tuning of every note across the keyboard or are you limited to doing that to a 12 note octave range?

will the MINIlogue be getting any os updates allowing for some of the new features like parameter step sequencing and micro tuning?
@pyrofiliac8 жыл бұрын
Korg is always updating firmware for many of its products. I wouldn't be surprised if we see software updates for minilogue for years to come.
@EliahHoliday8 жыл бұрын
When will the manual be available for download? Also if they can add to next firmware update instead of sequenced notes off going dark have them flashing. That way if I want to bring back the exact sequence I can by merely hitting the flashing buttons.

can you use the microtuning feature over the midi out?
@NateSassoonMusic7 жыл бұрын
^^I too would like to know the answer to this question.
@rossmillington87006 жыл бұрын
No I dont think so man, i think thats actually way more complicated than it would initially seem. Midi is a format that doesnt really include that, i think here is a way but would be very sirprised if this was included in this synth. I dont own one though (yet) so i might be talking out my arse
@tomdwij6 жыл бұрын

are the microtunings able to be played over midi? for example, if I plugged it into logic pro via midi and selected bosendorfer piano in logic, would i hear the piano in my desired microtuning??

You can shorten the 16 steps. You can also Change the resolution of the step sequencer. Better than the volcas although only 16 steps those can look like 64 or even more ahaha
