Ha, I've had this controller for over 2 years and had no idea that it was packed with such usable functions. Cheers!

Respect for taking time out to do this, memorecks. A lot of beat makers wouldn't have. Big up.

Dude! I saw you and RJ at the hoxton last night and your set inspired me to get off my ass and add some controllers to my Ableton setup. While looking stuff up, I randomly ended up here. Small world!

How do you set up the NanoPad so that there are different parts of the drum kit on each pad. So like the snare is on the first, then the hi-hat on the second and then the kick of the 3rd etc? Please I need help!!!

How do you edit the keys out of it. Each time I play a sample it plays a key first its really annoying.

Thank you for this tutorial! Could you also tell how you can 'loop' what you play on the pad? So for example, you play a short phrase... and after that it just keeps on playing. Is that easy to do in ableton? And can you also map the loop and/or record-function to a button of for example the korg nanokontrol2?

Is there any way to setup the xy pad on the PadKontrol like this with the chromatic scale? I just can't understand why the more expensive piece of equipment wouldn't have similar capabilities as the NanoPad....

@marvcritthm any DAW is good. What matters is taking the time to learn your software to its max potential. But if you don't like garageband I would probably get logic, it comes with tons of plugins already with it.

Just to answer my own question: Yes indeed there's a script by Stray411 that makes the exact same thing possible on a nanopad1 - see watch?v=YBeIac_vx5M So as far as that there's no need to buy a np2 really if you already own the first version.
