For those who say that's a "boring" insturment, that's a keyboard for people that makes music for living. I personally know very successful artists that had been using Korg Tritons for making records for years, so the Nautilus is a perfect evolution for this kind of professionists.

Although workstation keyboards can initially be a bit boring, I know as a user of Korg, that the editing on their gear is really vast, and you can make some very good complex sounds - along with generous modulation patching and multi triggering LFO's you can achieve some really modular-sounding patches.

What you are looking for is an artist who can also do sound designing, and most of youtube pianist and hardware synth reviewers aren't that kind of people you are looking for. Actually having both skills is rare with those guys, even you see one in the wild they are working on a track instead of spending their time doing video, maybe watch DoctorMix for that kind of special sound designing vids instead he also review some hardware like UJIIE , UJIIE is more of a pianist rather than full-on sound designer so you are looking at the wrong musician here.

2021 and Korg still sounds synthetic, you have to edit and touch a lot the FX's to make the instruments sound more real. Yamaha engineers are smarter, they put the correct instrument setting so you don't have to touch anything, any Yamaha demo (even a cheap keyboard) sounds great and more realistic than an expensive Korg, beside I can't believe this keyboard doesn't have aftertouch!!!
@Donetur Жыл бұрын
I think Korg is not about realism in general. I agree that Yamaha acoustic sounds are better. But leads and synth sounds have more personality in Korg than in Yamaha. I also Ike Korgs effects. Actually I find Korg has more personality than Yamaha. I still like the Montage and some sounds are great. But I have another reference when it comes to realistic samples, which are vsti libraries. Yamaha can’t compete with that (check Virharmonic. Orange Tree samples, Orchestral Tools, for example). Still I think I would get both if I could: Yamaha and Korg, both are very good boards.
@gabrielirlanda Жыл бұрын
@antiarguers Agreed with all you said. Leads are good in Korg because of the high frequency that is particular in Korg, almost an "ear killer." It is more a keboard to play in a band, no doubt. But if you like to be in your room creating some really good movie songs, then Yamaha is the best option. I'm really thinking of having a Nautilus but on the other hand thinking about the extra money I'll have to spend in buying good orchestral packs etc to really have some benefits of it. 🤔
@Donetur Жыл бұрын
@@gabrielirlanda i paid a Synthcloud pack for the Nautilus (monster pack MKIII), and it was transformed automatically from a fun keyboard into a very fun keyboard. I am only one month with it but I am quite sure there should be some users out there sharing samples for free. Only that I haven’t searched them yet. I would say Nautilus is one of the keyboards that I appreciate the most and I have owned Yamaha Motif ES, Roland Fantom X, Korg Triton LE, Nord Stage 3, Kurzweil K2661, Korg TR, Roland Juno G, Korg N364, Korg Micro X (I won’t talk about VAs and analog, I have owned several as well). I would say the ones who have provided me more fun are the Nautilus and the K2661. I also like the Nord. Actually all of them had something nice, but my top 3 would be K2661, Nautilus, Nord Stage 3. It may be a matter of personal tastes as well.
@Donetur Жыл бұрын
@@gabrielirlanda if you like orchestral sounds, I would also consider a second hand Kurzweil PC3 or PC4 (PC3 has better orchestral sounds). But it would depend on your tastes, you may like it or not.
