Lovely Brit '70s vibe to your playing here, really enjoyed it.

Is this the same circuit as the overdrive found on the Korg PME40x Multieffect?

No, the PME-40X has other circuit boards (plus it runs on 15V!) and it doesn't sound the same. I like both, but I prefer the very smooth and warm sound of the OVD-1.

Is it possible to use this pedal in a Yamaha System Board , SB40 for instance ?
@PepeMusic11 ай бұрын
I doubt that it is possible. The Yamaha pedals have this certain multi-connector on the back which the KORG pedals don't have. Apart from that the pedals are overall the same. I had four of the Yamaha versions and the KORG pedals sound exactly the same to my ears.

I had one of these years ago. I miss it so thought I would buy one but the prices are ridiculous. Anyone know anything about the cuitcet and how it differs from a standard tube screamer. ?

I don't know what is going on in the circuit of the KORG OVD-1, but it is for sure no Tubescreamer sound and that's why I love it so much. No other pedal gives me that ultra-creamy sound. Maybe you can find a Yamaha OD-01 for a more moderate price. The Yamaha units are basically the same as the original KORG pedals, but they don't offer a standard power supply plug without a modification.

Same. Someone told me it was just a tube screamer clone so I let it go thinking Id replace with something cheaper.

BOØWY

I haven't heard of Boøwy before. If they use the KORG OVD-1 they have an excellent taste. My brother also liked the pedal so much that I made a clone for him two years ago. It's his go-to overdrive.
