As these sounds will probably be out of the box without any eq settings and other editing. But in terms of the Korg Pa700 (like any Korg Arranger) when you dig deeper and start to edit you sounds etc it really starts to shine and you can get some really big sounds.

Yamaha patches are undoubtedly brighter but I like the sounds of the Korg better. The Yamaha gives the impression of being tailored for a one-man band, whereas the sounds of the Korg seem to leave more space for other musicians. It would be interesting to compare both keyboards feature wise. Thanks.

Are we hearing the sound from the speakers? I think so. The Yamaha sounds like the overall EQ has been brightened in a response to comments that it sounded dark in comparison to the pa700. The relative strengths of the two instruments has not changed IMO. I think the Korg sounds more “organic”, like a combo or a live band. The Yamaha sounds, for lack of a better word, more “academic” in its presentation. I also think Yamaha’s styles are generally a little busier than the Korg styles. I don’t think anyone can make an informed buying decision until they’ve downloaded the manuals, read them and studied them, and listened to every demonstration video they can find. I’m assuming that the majority of buyers will buy one or the other without ever actually playing them because it’s hard to find a store that actually has them on the floor.

To me the most important difference is wider stereo on Yamaha and brighter on the Yamaha. Maybe people want that? My Roland sounds more attractive than my Korg I thought. My Yamaha's are too small, can't compare with this.

I think it is wrong comparison. Korg's sound seemed to be like mono(!!!) as if some option is turned off, while Yamaha sounds with some surround effect. Absolutely incorrect comparison. Didn't hear that? There is a feeling that it was made specifically to sell more Yamaha.

Bro fa 6 is a synthesizer. You will not get any styles in that. Korg has many styles as well as many sounds and you can edit these sounds as a synth . korg is better

A lot will depend on your sound setup at home. Quality amps and speakers are required and a good sound system in your computer which often is not the best. So the best thing to do is go and listen live at your Keyboard shop. Don't take a computer comparison as gospel.

IMHO: Yamaha: brighter and more nuances on acoustic instrument, sounds more natural Korg: darker, acoustic instruments not that natural, organ is an exception.

I have some Korg apps on my iPad Pro, I must say that the sounds of the Korg Module Pro are absolutely the best on the market right now. From that I decided to buy a Pa-700, I am still getting to know it, I had to update the operating system and I have loaded it from the Korg page new sounds, both old and current synths but higher end, and they sound quite good with your own speakers. This is the first comparison video in which I have heard a Korg sound so bad, worse still, my Korg machine !! This video definitely didn't capture the Korg sound in the best way. My deepest dislike

The korg pa700 is a machine!! We managed to put the pianos the grandeur and the maverick, we put the full concert grand of the motif, the piano of the kronos ... All sampled note by note and by layers.... It's aWESOME that korg pa700, that yamaha keyboard in person is a toy, if you want amazing quality on yamaha you have to pay from 2000 € up

I can hear lots of noise on yamaha and some instruments sound like inside a plastic bucket. I like yamaha design but korg sounds much better to me and by far much more powerful with 33w speakers against only 16 on yamaha: That has to make a huge difference when playing it loud when kor can do the same on half power leaving much better sound while yamaha has to be on it's maximom and therefore producing noise. Thinking about buying one of the two and i never had a korg but some friends i have seen playing korgs and they are great, plus i don`t like much the the rhythms of yamaha judging by what i have at home where the basses are just senseless and useless compared to other instruments i have seen. Korg: Why all those little bottons in such a small area? That's bloody stupid: We need big buttons and easy to access, not those minusculos garbage all stick tight that to touch one you need a lupa. Garbage on that aspect
