My very first synth that I bought myself with money saved up from delivering newspapers when I was 15 years old, and I loved it so much! 2nd synth was a Juno 106, and as a junior and senior in high school with this two boards, I was in heaven! The years were 1984-86. Great DCO/Analog filter times, lol!

Yes, me too, my first synth together with the juno 60 and also the poly 800 added a few years later... which I still have :-)

Very synth I ever bought, purchased it back in 1985 until I sold it some years later. Some days I miss it. Great sounds and fun to play. Thanks for the memory lane moment.

Thank you for a good demonstration. Very nice that you didn´t add any external effects, so that we can hear what the instrument actually sounds like. My Poly-61 (purchased in 1983) still works perfectly.

you don't hear the delays?
@mikaelsjodin19635 ай бұрын
@@TheRumanx In the first minutes of the video I didn´t hear any effects. But later the delays can be heard, mostly on the percussive sounds.

Hopefully you replaced the battery in it. Otherwise that thing will get acid all over the board. Ask me how I know.

Very nice synthesizer; I think I listened its 80s-vibe sound here for the first time. Thank you for the interesting demonstration!

There were MANY digital and analog/digital hybrid synths long before the Poly 61. Synclavier? PPG Wave? Fairlight CMI? RMI Computer Keyboard I and II, RMI Harmonic Synthesizer, DK Synergy, Yamaha GS1 and GS2 - the list goes on. Get yer facts right ;)

Awsome patches, well done! 👌 Did you program those yourself?

Thank you! Yes, I programmed the patches myself (without a programmer)

Hey I’m just about to buy one of these! Do you have a list of your programmed sounds? Numbers for each parameter Or a recommended place to find some
@Bernd_Bruening Жыл бұрын
I haven’t got the Poly 61 anymore. I did most of the sounds myself. The factory presets are a good start.

Cheers, last Saturday I actually drove an hour to buy one off someone, but when I got there it didn't work at all! @@Bernd_Bruening

A terribly limited synthesizer with a cumbersome user interface. A like for the demo, not for the instrument.

I’m building the new Tauntek poly61 mainboard right now. It has some new features like midi, a 2nd LFO, new waveforms for LFO and VCO. All parameters can be edited via midi cc. I’m probably going to make a video for it.
