KORG SP-280 is an underestimated beast and in my opinion in it's price category is unbeatable.

I havent tried the 280 but once had the 250 and it was a bang for a small amount of money. I bet this dosent disappoint

Yes you can. I use it with a DAW called Reaper and audio/midi interface Focusrite Scarlett 4i4.I also works well with GarageBand but the only drawback with GB is that you cannot export the midi file.

Nice video. Please don't take offence but you were playing Bach's cantata 147 not in the key that Bach intended. It should be played in Gmaj (one F#) although I agree you can transpose to any major or minor key of your choice. I did enjoy your jazzy pieces though. I've owned the SP-280 for a couple of years now and find it useful for composition when hooked up to audio/Midi through Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 using a DAW such as Reaper. The keys are noisy, as with most mid range keyboards but you don't hear this in the audio or midi recordings. For serious enjoyment I play my acoustic Yamaha GB1

I was thinking about getting one until I head the key sounds. That’s annoying. I like quiet when striking a keybed.

I have one question about it.. can you split your hands to play tow different voices left and right??

No, I don’t think so. You can layer two different sounds (with some limitations, 2 of any of the 10 banks, but not two variations from the same bank) like demonstrated in the video, like piano + strings, but there’s no split mode that I know of.

There is a “teacher mode” or what they call it which splits the keyboard in two and transposes so the two halves cover the same octaves, for teaching or playing four hands, but both halves still use the same sound I believe.

KORG SP-280: What's the net weight without the stand? The brand declares 19.0 Kg with the stand.

This demonstration has poor audio compared to others. Check out the others, it's a good keyboard for the price

....not an uncommon (though albeit annoying) issue with some keyboards. Had it with even some higher-end digital pianos (surprisingly bad on my old Alesis DG8; one would think that such an issue would have been addressed, given that it cost around two grand).

...I don`t like the Pianosounds of the SP 280. Other Korg - Products with Pianosounds sounds much better.
