Korg SQ-1 Trick - Keyboard mode!

a quick tip showing how to do a custom keyboard controller with the korg SQ-1.
The SQ-1 is such a great value and has alot of uses. Not ergonomic at all and deffinently not traditional, but could be the most affordable option for cv keyboard. This trick will work with eurorack modular synths and gear, as well as midi, USB to software, the legendary ms-20, and korg little bits!

I use CV with moog Mavis. My biggest gripe is tuning as this beast has so many frequencies :) I will keep watching your videos!

Yes, I have seen his elektron stuff before. He has a ton of content. Love the vibe. It feels like he got off work and just records a daily jam. He deffinently knows his stuff, has similar taste in gear to me, and has a similar style, though a lot harder. Thanks for the recommendation!

So will it send the gate as long as you press the button?

I don't think so, its not exactly a keyboard, I think the gate length is still based on the 'duty' knob. I will test this if I remember next time I have the SQ1 set up.

Just to clear it up, on midi it's note on when you press the button and note off when you let go. So like a hold or gate on midi. Still need to test over cv.
