Three of the instruments featured on this vid are transposed. Sadly there's no mention about whether the TMR-50 has a key-transpose function, as to display the played instead of the sounded note. Windwood players are used to read the played (transposed) notes instead of the concert-pitch sound, so a key-transpose function is really helpful. Does the TM/R-50 feature it?

Judging from my research the tm-70 lists transpose as a new feature so previous models would not have it.

Hi good video clearly explained but I would like to know if this TM 60 can be used for a chromatic harmonica. Greetings Johan

El TM se presta para notas cromáticas.

with other notes, like G sharp is F sharp, D is C, and so on. Also, you should find out how many hertz you clarinet should be tuned to. Most instruments are tuned to A 440 hz or A 441 hz. Hope this helps you understand the clarinet and how to use and metrotuner.

mine if painfully quiet. I can't hear it clearly when practicing upright bass. Is there something I can do about it ? Tried fresh battery already.

Thanks, you answered my question. No good for trumpet without wired headphones. All the best.

I just purchased this tuner for my violin. But I think it might not be that accurate. Any ideas, suggestions or any videos on KZbin that can help me? Thanks

I bought this but, when I play a note on my sax (say a G) its shows up as a B ... it jumps all over and doesn't show the right note??? how is this a tuner???
@VietFiddle8 жыл бұрын
+dpgc9 Defective. I bought another turner, not korg. At first, it works well. Later, may be a week, it behaves as exactly as you describe. I throw it into garbage.
@DiogoDCFB8 жыл бұрын
+dpgc9 your tuner is working perfectly because the saxophone is a transposing instrument! Therefore, when you play G on an alto saxophone it sounds like a B on the piano! Because the saxophone is an instrument in Eb and the tuner shows the note refering to an instrument in C (like piano, flute, and all the basic instruments that are in this tone. Your G is a B in Concert Pitch! Hope I have helped you and don't throw away your precious tuner ;) Take care!

+Diogo Fernandes Thanks, Diogo. Does this mean that such an advance tuner like this one has NOT a transpose function to dislay the played instead of the sounded note???
@DiogoDCFB8 жыл бұрын
i dont know, i do not own one eheh but i think it does ! but for me that function isnt so important and by reading the note in concert pitch or C you also improve your own transposing skills so I guess it doesnt make the product worse if it doesnt transpose.... the recording function and the ability to recognise and match the note your playing are the key functions of this great metronome/tuner !
