Korg Triton Pro demo

This is a demo of my Korg Triton Pro, which is the 76 note version. It also has the Piano expansion board fitted.
The sounds are a mixture of factory presets and some that I have programmed. The music is a mix of well known songs, my own material, and a lot of improvisation. It was all done in one continuous take and then some dodgy bits edited out!!! So, sorry if it's a little rough around the edges.
The Triton is a fantastic keyboard, especially good for brass, choir, strings, synth leads and pads and evolving texture sounds. It also has a lot of great arpeggiator patterns, many of which are integrated into presets for a complete song in one sound. The organs are great too and I could mess about with those for ages (as the Focus and Booker T bits probably testify).
The sounds are great in their own right, but the effects section is the absolute killer on this. I bought the board brand new way back when and remember being blown away by the FX, as you can have up to 5 insert effects + 2 master FX on every sound - awesome. And the quality of them is top notch too. Compared to my Roland Fantom G6, in which the standard organ can't have rotary speaker and overdrive at the same time!!
I could easily have made this video 3 hours long as there are that many good sounds on it and each one is so inspiring I could write a new song for each one.
I filmed it on my phone, but the main stereo audio outputs from the keyboard were fed into a small mini mixer (so I could take a headphone signal for monitoring) with EQ completely flat and no external effects. The main output from the mixer then went directly to my PC stereo mic/line input and was recorded with Audacity. I then married the audio and video together with Cyberlink video editing software.

Most of the sounds were factory presets. Only a few were programmed. Try looking at Korg forums.

How do you find the action on the Triton Pro? I'm in the market for a new controller and they don't really make 76 note controllers these days. Also, is there an expression/continuous controller pedal connector or just sustain and foot switch?

I no longer own it and can't remember for certain, but pretty sure it had both controller and sustain inputs. I found it a great keyboard to play, although I would think there must be better options available now. The Triton is now 20 year old technology, so I would be more inclined to choose something more up to date. I have a Yamaha Motif XS7 which is leap years ahead of he Triton and is also very playable. And no, I'm not looking to sell it ;)

Hey man, I have a question! What kind of wurlitzer is this on korg: /watch?v=jlkT_eD9JXo please copy the URL to see. I downloaded the Korg Triton for SampleTank but the wurly is awfu, not like the real. Sounds more like a violin with plenty of attack hahaha. Thank you!

I don't think it is a Wurli - sounds more like a Fender Rhodes piano sound to me.

Hey, Joseph. The Triton is full of awesome pad sounds. The ones in the demo were all factory presets so you should be able to do a factory reset and find them and loads of others. Make sure you do a backup first though! Failing that, have a look on the korg forums - I'm sure you'll find others there.

Can't remember the patch name, although I'm pretty sure it was a factory preset - it's been a long time since I let the Triton go. If you meant the song, it was just improvised on the spot. Cheers

+Jade Pascual Hi Jade. Cool - have fun with it - I could just play it for hours using the presets!! I have the piano expansion installed so that's all I used for piano sounds, and I can't remember what the standard factory sounds are like, but I didn't think they were that bad, although not as good as modern synths I admit. Your best bet would be to trawl through the Korg forum. Good luck.
