I'd snap one up right away with some effects, especially reverb. Open up way more flexibility, including adding more experimental gear.

One glaring omission: no headphone cuing. Being able to program a Volca out of the main mix before bringing it in is a must have. I'll just get a DJ mixer. Nice try though.

It's a three (+ 1 send/aux) mixer but there's like a dozen volcas. It's a mono mixer but many of the most recent Volcas are stereo. It's a mixer but valuable space is wasted on built-in speakers. It's a Volca but there's no ribbon, no sequencer and no ability to automate stuff. There's a 3 way power splitter but no MIDI splitter. So, in conclusion, it sucks.Korg need to bring out a Volca Mix 2 with more channels, effects and connectivity.

It's nice. I use monologue and volca keys and I an happy with. Only try not to use only a company products, because I think that at the end your sound will be "the same". Could be all roland, all moog or anything else... The interesting is to mix different sound architecture, that's why modularity it's great, IMHO.

I actually really dig this. It may not be as functional as some actual proper mixers, but the three DC outs are super nice, and having the ins be minijacks just means less converters on my part. Is it great for like a live DJ gig? Probably not. But for easy home experimentation with a couple Volcas, it's pretty cool.

Shame they didn't feature built in FX. The real deal here is it can power 3 volcas and link the sounds together. You could use cheap headphone splitters to link up 6 volcas through the 3 channels, just a thought.

I tried the headphone splitter.. maybe my splitter sucks but you lose volume the more volcas you hook up and it sounds like ass. cant even hear my volca keys without turning it all the way up and my drum all the way down, and if I hook up the nts 1 it gets worse..

It's stylish, but Mackie sells 4 channel mixers with fx for cheaper than what I'm guessing this will msrp. I bought a 12 channel one for less than 130$ and while it's global effects, the sound is great

the KVgear Vixen mixer has 8 channels (6 mono and 2 stereo) and 8 in-built power supplies for volcas, and 2 aux sends with stereo returns. far better than this KORG mixer... kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2bMlYyVqp53m7M

MegaCrasherMusic perhaps, but I've noticed that sync function is responsive without a master and I love that about my volca FM and minilogue. I certainly wouldn't reject this volca mix if it were gifted to me hehehe. Still, I love my Mackie and it's hearty EQ, and it's good to see ppl excited, cheers!

Agreed why would they need speakers on a mixer they should have at least had 6 sterio channels and not mono because I think there are 6 volcas and they should have aimed it towards mixing for your volcas hense the amount of channels just enough for the amount of volcas at the time. Because they probably will release more.

Just curious, Would I be correct in saying that the volca doesn’t really have enough inputs for your setup? Two Stereo output volcas ( fm and sampler) and mono Monologue. I have these synths but and I’m thinking of buying the mixer but not sure for this reason.

Is it always going to output to mono? I'd like to use the Pan knob on the Sample but it doesn't work with the Mixer despite there being an L R output.

Hate to ask stupid question but I have the volca mixer connected to my make noise o coast that is connect to korg sq1 and I have a volca drum second channel and third channel volca modular. All sounds great but I want to send guitar pedal to either volca modular or no coast. Do i just send out jack from send out then send pedal back in to aux. Then turn send dial on either channel to use ?

I don't think that last drum beat at around 4:00 was in sync. it's quite disappointing that it only has one stereo input for the korg volca series you think theyd do something better add more sliders more channels but but only 3 is that it they should have added the amount for the amount of volcas they released which I believe is around 6 I guess studying electronics has a benefit I guess I'll make my own mixer the size of the korg volca.

incorrect. They all output dual mono, hence the width option on the mixer unit. They should have just done all stereo. Also whats with those speakers. jeez what a waste of internal and external space.

You, sir, are indeed incorrect. Volca (except for sample) sends unbalanced stereo, which if you send into balanced stereo input (which most of mixer inputs are) causes all sorts of issues. That's why they use mono inputs, so you don't have to buy stupid TSR to TR cables.
