I am no collector or enthusiast, just a music maker, but I have owned or played over 50+ synths in my life, both digital and analog and this is the only digital synth, along with my DX7 and Emulator II that I have kept.

@DorisDay-lw4xs so you bought a kew wavestate…nice! Wouldnt the hands on controls take all the steep learning curves out of the game since you can twist all the knobs to reach a great result faster than you could with the original? I might still consider one or the other sooner or latr

I've got a Korg A/D and it's the sound of the pads like Northern Lights, Deep Atmosphere and Vox Concrete that made me get one. You press a couple of keys and it sounds like a soundtrack from a movie.

Some of sounds remind me about movie soundtracks of 80' or 90'. Some sounds are also perfect for a trance session or house session. :)

You folks likely know this but with a smart phone, otg cable a phone charger and a midi uno. The trainload of syx files is just waiting for you to play and experiment with. I know cause i do it with my a/d Too much fun get syx-lib on playstore or where you get your apps. It was free and works great

Love mine and with syx-lib for android and otg cabling it is convenient and as always.....Awesome. Great vid never get tired of my wavestations or roland d50/d05

Wow right around 10min is the sound from bjorks human behaviour-listen to 1min mark of that song! Update: Ok did some googling and found its indeed that…the pharaoes jig sound or something like that and MJ also used it in Jam. And possibly Genesis?? Need to check.

I've worked a long time with Wavestation A/D, as soon as it has been available (in 1993). It was a great machine. And now I'm working with Kronos. Actually, with the right settings, Kronos sounds as good as Wavestation and even far better.
