I've owned a lot of Korgs, but you started losing me soon after my beloved M1. Later it looked like you moved to smaller more toy-like synths. Then no more aftertouch on mid-level. Looked at Prologue, but there are better choices in that price range. Regrettably sold my two Mono/Polys and my DW8000 was stolen, but still have my DSS-1s. Now I look to Behringer to fill the void. Not sure what happened Korg, but I didn't want to build my own MS-20 from a $1300 kit you provide. One example of WTF Korg, sorry for the harsh feelings.

If you just only knew how hard it is to build something like the SE, mass produce it, and sell it for a profit. Moog couldn't do it. Many other synth companies have gone by the wayside or have been absorbed by other brands. Just look at how expensive a nice keyboard stand is or even a hard keyboard case! Being shipped in that deluxe fitted hard case is just icing on the cake as delivery services are rougher than ever on packages. This is how a successful business is doing it in post-COVID constrained supply chain. Sure corners were cut not designing a whole new panel layout with a larger display. It would have delayed the roll out even further. Korg is not the only one. Hydrasyth Deluxe and Access Virus TI2 Keyboard did the same thing.

@@kptamc Are you on drugs dude? They built a new box, popped existing electronics, with no exceptions, into the box, possibly slammed in the latest PI4 instead of the previous one (as those are probably not available in quantities) which resulted in the increase of voices. Since when is it difficult to design and mass produce a hardware casing?

​@@jfn467They priced the smaller versions very fairly. These are premium full-metal offerings, meant for serious enthusiasts/pros who want to augment their studios. Korg knows exactly how to price these products. People who wants cost-conscious options would have bought the VST version for $200 to use with whatever MIDI keyboard they already own. It's funny people are complaining when a premium item is only premium in form factor; if Korg makes those better than the cheap stuffs feature-wise, people would whine too.

MORE CLEVER SOLUTION: buy a 61key good master (AKAI ADVANCE 61, with polyphonic aftertouch) + 2 Wavestate Mk1, and you will have a SERIOUS SET REALLY bitimbral with DOUBLE poliphony and all for less than 1500€ (instead of useless 2100€)

2100€ to produce the same sounds of my WAVESTATE Mk1 for (today) less than 500€...... no comment (and better to do not talk about new Kingkorg Neo... 1100€ for something without Tube effect, without Wheels, with cheap plastic and less keys, it must cost max 600.... )
